There is a forum user I think who was 18 on a Cup pying £3k insurance and that was limited milage etc and he had some yrs NCB already.
Messing round putting the 18yr old as the second driver is a bad idea have a look at the thead at the top of the insurance area.
I think you can. Tesco used to allow you to be insured on a car daily (and I think weekly weekendly and fortnightly) as that how my brother was insured. But there is a limit to 20 occasions it can be done. They never mentioned it to my dad so he got offered unlimted days when he complained they...
The different camber can be make to you suspension as for the offfset well some spacers will fix that.
The fornt suspension is more difficult but its not masive problem.
There a guide on the front page how to change springs if you look at it youll see how to change dampers.
Cup suspension...
Nope it should reset ever few hundred miles mines has been left for over 2k at times without any problem.
Ive heard of this problem before, get it to Renault and they will fix it.
To do the transplnat as easy as possible youd have to swop the brakes engine, dash, dials, UCH ie bit under the glovebox, wishbones suspension etc anyway. As for costs well it depends its just labout realy ontop of the price of a crahsed 172 you can sell the 172 other bits if you want ie seats...
60 00 073 545 SHOCK ABS RR C2 £50.30 ex vat
There the same as fitted to the Mk2 172s the Cups are different though.
I posted the part number for the Cup bits if you wantt to do a Cup spec Mk1 172 in the wanted thread the other day.
If you can get his entire car and swop the dash and all the wiring over then it should almost drop it.
Check the rear axle you might need a 172 axle though to make the ABS etc work. Just check how many teeth are on the 172s comapired to the 1.2s if there the same you dont need to upgrade the...
The Stilo was a petrol I bet so that doesnt count.;)
I dobnt know hoe you got 37mpg thee are 1.2 owners who get that in normal driving.
PS courtesy cars only have 1 gear forwards and one reverse dont they?
Dynamique 1.2 £9.3k
Dynamique 1.4 £9.7k
Dynamique dci 65hp £10k
Dynamique dci 80hp £10.5k
Thats list price (which some suckers pay)
Id say the 65dci was equal to the 1.2. The dci80 is equl to the 1.4
There only about £1k extra plus should be worth a few hundred more at resale (although the extra interest could be argued to be covered by this).
How you got 37mpg with hard driving? I get that if Im normal in a 1.2 Ive seen under 20mpg in one.
63mpg hard driven in a dci though your not even...
When you put it in reverse the rear wiper works automatically to clean (or least try and clean) the rear windwo so you can see out.
They dont come out automatically when the front ones are on though when your going forwards have a check you havent set them of yourself on the stalks.
Id swop them all round the abs wont like it having different tyres at the front and rear. The diference isnt huge ad the system is likly to allow a slight discrepancy but still.
The speedo sensor comes from the ABS sensors not sure which one but most likly the front wheels so it will still be...
Just one last thing a diesel doing 55mpg vs petrol doing 35mpg saves about 3.8p/mile so although you get 3p less a mile youll achually save 0.8p/mile not a huge sum but at 3k/month thats £288/yr.
Stil a Titanium 182 is a very nice car to drive round in.
How long do you intend keeping the...
As everyone has saif you dont need the shocks are quite good but they will never be as good as aftermarket uprated ones. Im driving my car with stock rear dampers and 60mm springs at the back and you can tell the difference the uprated shocks make.
Id personally get uprated shocks before going...
Id not go for a Clio 182 if I were doing 3k month forget it.
Fabia VRS or Seat Ibiza TDi or Golf for £10k+ will save ~£115 a month on fuel and be a much better motorway drive.
Just to give you an idea how fast it will go round the track here are the figures for some Ferraris round there Maranello test track.
360 1 min 30 sec
360 Stradale 1 min 27 sec
Enzo 1 min 25 sec
200 F1 car 55 seconds
The laps going to be well under a minute. My guess is 49 seconds.
It depends most people with remaps say they use the power like mad for the first few miles and loose a few mpg then it goes back to normal sometimes it gets better particualy if they do long distance driving.
Tunning boxes arnt quite as efficient but you shouldnt get much less mpg maybe 1 mpg...
Yep tunning boxes are another tunning option they extend the fuel injection later into the cycled but can do nothing else.
Usually proper tunning boxes cost about £250~£450.
Anything cheaper is often just a resister whch fools the computer to think the fuel is hot therefore less dense so the...
£511 from most dealerships.
Cliosport members get 5% off if you go to the main place down south (Id go there regarless anyway as they know what to do some suppliers dont).
Why on earth would you want a uni chip a diesel?
Unichip did try messing with a TDi Golf and had a mess around, but diesels dont work like petrols so they had it smoking on the first fiddle and I think they gave up diesel are better to be remaped than aftermarket boxes being added.
Yep the 65/80 and 100 share the same bits the 80 and 65 are very very similar just diffferent turbos, injecotors. different ECU mapping an an intercooler on the 80. The 100 has quite a few more uprated/ changed bits.
The 65 get about 70hp in real life a remap will see about 85hp (there rollers...
The problem IMO with the 100 is the price its 182 money often.
Im suprised they didnt get more.
Torque is probably gearbox limited since its the JC5 box and stock the 100 torque is limited to 200NM (maybe to ensure it isnt better than the 182?) Still Id guess the remap makes~ 176Lb torque...
Each to there own least I can see where your comming from.
Only thing is that Id definatly get coilovers for my next car anyway and the fact its worth less wouldnt be a huge concern since its not going to be more than I saved (probably). Applying for the extra warently isnt a huge issue, plus...
