For sat nav over here the top bit of the dash is different. To get this raised bit to get the sat nav screen in place you need a new top dash which is £400 or so from Renault. Unfortunatly unless you can get hold of a crashed 172 with sat nav broken up for cheap forget it.

The bulb might have gone or the fuse broke. Check the bulbs first realy. Ill check what fuse it is later and edit this post.

1 liter per 600 miles is the accepted Renault tolerance unless it burns more than this then that deamed as OK. One car can burn oil and another not its hit and miss realy although how you bedded it in can have implications on oil burn.

Stock ones are good enought IMO with decient pads and good fluid. You dont get any problems significant enough to warent drill disks even in 2.0s

It only shows your about 300rpm from the limiter it doesnt do it for maximum power or the optimum shift point. Some gear change lights dont work (well the one I drove didnt).

There cheaper than stock Renault prices but if your trade youll probably be able to get them cheaper (not much) from Renault and you dont have the issues that they might be cheap copies.

If you get it cheap you can have a look what condition its in and sell it on or fix it up. Assuming its a complete car the wheels are worth say £200 The back seats are worth say £100 Stearing wheels worth say £30. If the engine/box, uch etc are working that probably worth £1k to someone...

The mk1 and Mk2 (Cup excepted) have exactly the same dampers the difference is down to setups and the different sized wheels and offset (although the lower weight of the mk1 will have an effect).

Roamer is the only TB 172 owner his is a Mk2 though. However it should be easier and cheaper doing TB ona a mk1 as Roamer had to change his throttle pedal to a Mk1 drive my cable one, the Mk2 has the electric accelerator which didnt work with his setup.

The reacro option will lower the seated height by 10mm so its not huge you could just go to Demon Tweeks etc and see whow much they want for the same seats fitting. (Renault seats will be off the shelf reacro as such). Im 6 4 and the seating isnt that good realy butyou just get used to it...

Sounds like the wires have realy gone for good. Its still under warently I take it? If so take it back to Renault they can fix it doesnt take long to do.

Due to the complexity of the wiring in modern cars one off irreguularities can happen its just down to being to complex.

As I see it you have £6~6.5k collateral. If you dont need the car to be totally relaible or willing to put with the cost of 2 cars Id keep the hybrid and buy the turbo and you have no debts. OR buy the turbo car and keep the 172 which should be more reliable being more modern than the...

Your bount to get some manurfacturing errors and theyll always turn up in the first few month. I dont think anyone has had a problem as such with them except for normal wear and tear.

Renault cd changer dont work with aftermarket stuff. They usually go for about £60 with the cable and cradle thingie.

Try Chester to buy the car, although they win the award for most incompetant dealer and have terraible customer service ever but there supposed to be always very cheap. If not try Speed six in Wrexham there excellent customer service and are goo for warently work but Id imagine there way more...

Its an Orbsound exhaust Ive got the part codes at work. However you cannot buy them from anyone but Renault sport in Diepe (or however its spelt) unless you are friendly with a Cup racing team in the UK.

Bad news, it might be the throttle body (particulaly one the 1.2s) can get blocked due to aftermarket IK etc but it sound like the unit has broke rarther than your got it stuck. Renault would do it under warently though realy its to much bad PR not to and its a common problem.

Look at the back of the strip by the dor opening underneith is a small little hole in the big bump stip. Carefully push a screwdriver up there and youll push a the clip back, at the same time pull the bump strip back and the whole thing come away and you can remove/ swop the badges.
