Adrian flux when they quote through Highway give a discount to Cliosport members you just neeed proof.
Thats idea of % increase to % increase in power is a popular one.
Liverpool Vicoria/Frizell are a good company but they were £100 more. Just hope I dont have a crash as Highway arnt very...
The choice is massive best to do a search for what type of pad your looking at ie fast road track.
There was a thread yesterday I think about them with peoples views on different pads.
PM me your email address and Ill send you the file on how to strip the CD chnager down it might just be a loose scre or wie. Dealerships dont bother fixing them they just send them off and stick a new one in.
Could it be the CDs your using, are you using some CDs which are burned off from the PC?
They can only invalidate your warently on related bit and they have to prove he mod was to blame for the claim.
Most dealers dont care, people lower there cars 80mm and go though driveshaft and bearing like mad and dealerships still replace them.
If the cambelt hasnt been replaced and the cams timed correctly then the engine might not be getting enough air.
I only mentioned it as its a Mk1 so could be close to the milage/age to get it replaced.
He will be running high ECR (engine compression ratio) ie the air is squashed more than the air in a 172 engine so they need the ability to resist the fuel air mix exploding.
Octane booster or extra RON fuel just means it wont ignite as easily under pressure. I.E. its more resistant to knock. The higher the RON the longer it takes to go throught preflame from whenthe spark goes off so the spark has to be set off earlier in a car which is designed for high RON fuel...
Sounds way to low that unless your doing very short journeys.
Give it a decient service ie new filter and oil and air filter.
Has it has the cambelt done reciently?
Id expect a smilar car at a dealers will cost you about £1.25k to change.
Id save the money for a 172 the 1.6 is to much of an expensive midpoint to jump to.
1 or 2 yr old 172 Id go for every time for ~£8k. Or a new import 182 which you could get with equivalent UK spec (none cupped but that can be fixed with aftermaket stuff for cheap) for £11k.
The CTR is a bigger more expensive car there ~£17k new arnt they which is £4k more than an equivalent...
In my view higher RON fuel is wasted on the stock engine whatever the amount it cleanes the valves etc.
You cannot make more power though on 98 RON rarther than 95 RON unless your talking about the engine knocking though and so intake air etc being reduced.
Anyway if the cars reducing its...
Yep the front wheels are further forward by 7mm.
I think that Im right anyway the old Clios 172 had a distance from the center of the front and rear wheel of 2472mm the 182 is 2485mm.
The wheelbase is longer as the front bits are diferent.
The leather is supposed to be sligtly different.
10hp (from different exhaust, sporty cat, manifold changes and remap).
Different suspension setup the cup having even more changes.
All the dregs in the tank get drawin into the engine. Although they shouldnt get throught the filter they will block it up so the pump has to workm harder to maintain the correct flow from then on. If it cannot get enough fuel through the blocked filter then youll run lean and have problems.
My parents bought a new Merc A class and that wouldnt start after a month and they paid a load of it. No company is able to make a very reliable car.
Whats exactly happens?
The 172 is mapped for a minimum grade fuel.
As I said earlier there wont be any advanatge on 172/182 engines using 98RON fuel realy OK the detergents etc will keep the engien clean but the difference is to small to measure.
Toms been testing how much you can get in by running the car dry I think he got 45 liters in.
Ie nver even seen the light on I get scarerd with less than 200 miles left in the tank.
