The softwar is very good not a bad price either.
Im suprised Cliosport hasnt been forced to remove link to it as KDT said it is illegal to sell copies as it Renault own software an information.
Its very similar to the Hayney manual but also says how long jobs take and how much parts are (not...
The mk1 has one 1 sensor precat the mk2 needs one after it to deal with emmisions laws.
I wouldnt worry about it failing the mot so long as the car isnt reved over 4k and I dont think it is then the lambeda sensor will fix the fueling and ensure the engine runs fine.
Mike on here has a 172...
It will probably cost about £80 depends on dealer though.
Personaly I wouldnt bother Renault specified 12k servicing and that must be fine for there warently department so is ok for me.
There is a Cup owner on here who uses his car on the German race tracks almost every wekeend and has been...
Easiest way to sell the car is to put it in for a couple of hundred less than a compairiable one on autotrader.
Id say stick it in for £7,950 and dont drop much if any off for a quick sale.
There are loads of 172 for sale now particularly with the 182 becomming so cheap having a repuation in...
The normal ECU programming used the lambeda sensor below 4k above 4k is runs a fixed fueling program. Therefore a faults lambeda wouldnt be noticed above 4k.
However the superchip remap might change the rpm the sensor is used for in fueling.
If its not to severe or sounds like the engine realy will stop then forget it.
The new Renault engines are designed for emmisions friendly use which results in the poor idle.
Nothing much you can do unfortunatly.
I dont know the offset the 182 have but they will probably need more than the 172 so you will probably need say 10mm spacers at the front and 5mm at the rear to stop any scrubbing when lowered upto about 60mm.
Tunner list just means it can have 6 programmed radio stations I think.
If you have a look in the Clio sales booklet they show a Sony MP3 player (same as the options one fitted to the A class < unless fact for the day). This should be the easiest to fit as Renault use it and might not need...
I though the wider Cup suspension had been deleted and all 182 had the same wider setup in the end.
The different camber etc should be able to be setup if you lower the car on different springs thoigh.
Personally Id go for a Cup pack and then coilover it Im still not convinced on the wheels...
You could always buy a copy of the dialogues off Smokey etc and then ring Renault up and quote them a part number from the dialgues to get an accurate price.
Plus the dialgues have other info on how to do jobs on the car and how long they take etc.
Ive sent you a guide on how to remove the old wheel its quite easy.
To stop the airbag warning light you have to stick two resisters into the wires do a search fred has posted the values before I think its 3.7ohms
Personally I use two jacks and go gentle highering the car at the front and back at the same time.
They are week the sills though and have been know to bend.
The handling will be different but which model are you on about the Mk1 and Mk2 will handle differently due to the Mk2 being better set up handling wise.
After the work Renault did to fix my car Id personaly recomend that it didnt go to them. It took them 2 months to fix and they still didnt get it right took another 2 visits for them to fix the bits and even then it wasnt right (although it took another 11k to find this out)
JAY Ive looked into this, so long as you can get the software I think you can make a loom up quite cheap, although this does depend on how helpful Renault are making the software but since they use the K and L OBD technology the loom might just plug in with the computer and work...
You could hack into the Cars ecu and do it (or whatever runs the t/C0 but its nearly impossible.
One idea might be to disconnect the speed sensor (ie in the gearbox) so the car doesnt know what speed its doing so it doesnt engage, but your speedo will stop working.
Some of the later ones didnt sell to well I dont think as there is /was a member on here with an R reg Williams as it sat unregistered in a dealership for ages.
The original ones must have sold very well as they made later Williams 2 and 3 though.
The horns mounted just behind the front grill.
Id take it to Renault see if there anything wrong might just be a one off due to the rain or a rusting connection or loose wire.
Sounds like the alarm was trying to acivate the engine fuel cut off to stop the engine which it should do Ive seen this before on Renaults no idea why hopefully Jay will know what up.
