A 1.4 isnt a huge jump a 172 /182 would be a more noticable one and more worthwhile.
There will be more special edition Clios comming out all the time with the Lio finishing production next yr or so.
Yep any car with production greater then 400/yr needsABS now.
Although everyone has gone about the saving Id guess it will be about 10% cheaper than a 182 with the cup bits (most people have opte for this spec). Since you can get 182 + cup bits for £13k although it depends a 182 cup will be...
GDi do a smt device which will up the fueling and remap the car for a CS offer of £500.
But unless you have other mods the gains will be minimal.
Best way to beat it is to get a faster car.
Mods for a 1.4 for more power ie cams decat IK exhaust and remap will cost a fair bit better to...
Have a look for LeeM website he has a letter you have to send to Renault within the first yr. It tells Renault to change there database so your car is registered as having a 3yr UK warently. Therefore when you go for work in the 2nd and 3rd yrs Renault know your car is still under warently when...
You have to go up hardknock pass its one unique road you wont be able to go quick but it amazing first and second gear only if your lucky.
Theres tones of good road round there though best get out of the tourish area though as the roads can get a bit narow.
If you can miss the car ferry...
I cannot see this best idea to ring Renault UK thought. The V6 might be able to get some special deal.
Your right about the aftermarket stuff they cover so little and the bits it covers are unlikly to break under normal use anyway.
Dealers might offer there own warenties but I think an extended Renault warently can only be bought when you buy the car new which extends it to 5yrs and 120k max and it doesnt cover everything ie wear and tear.
You should be able to get a yrs warently as standard from a Renault dealer selling...
This probl;em about how to bed the engine in has been written about a lot and it the topic of a lot of disagreements.
I personally can understand and relace to the hard bed in technique that is within the first 20miles you need to get some pressure onto the pistons to get them to bed against...
Not sure if youll get a full warently work done on it how many mils have you done in it?
Renault might pay a certain % of the price but Id be suprised it they pay much if any.
Nope he is telling lies email Renault UK.
So long as the garage uses Renault parts and does all the same work then you warently is still valid unless the garage who did the work did it wrong which caused a problem but thats only reasonable.
UK ones are delived and fitted with alarms at the dockside.
Imports are offten fitted with the same alarm in the same places by the same trained people so you cannot tell.
Unusual ptroblem youvre had I didnt know anyone with a 1.4 could get or had T/C or cruise fitted.
Clios have a bit of a French wiring touch to them its makes them more unique.
Renault should be able to get the problem fixed maybe you just got a very bad friday car (most seem to be friday...
Blue is becomming very popular now.
Black looks very good Imo but only when its clean so least you can see how good it looks when its clean. Some colours dont look dirty ever so I find myself never clening them as its not worth the effort least with black it always looks good clean, shame it...
The Cups (172 ones) should be 7mm lower at the front and 5mm at the back but the tolerances for them are tighter (+- 10mm against 10.5 for the 172) so you could end up with a 172 being lower than a Cup.
I think cameras and video were banned as other manurfacturers test there cars round the ring as well so they dont want people selling photoes of the cars which are still secret.
They could fit springs and adjust the cambe but the cup pack consists of a few more important bits
1) The different coloured tyres.
2) Different dampers.
They could do it but its a bit costly. You got get coilovers etc which would be better for the same sort of price Renault would change...
There the prices from Renault. However they are about a year out of date but the part code will be the same, I wouldnt expect the prices to have changed massively.
If the book says £3200 then offer him that.
Have a check on autotrader though for simialr spec/ ages milage cars and check though.
Its amazing how cheap older Clios are sort of made me wish Id bought one and not got a loan.
Its 3 cds
One is 115 MB (120,961,024 bytes)
the second 548 MB (574,736,384 bytes)
The third 650 MB (682,057,728 bytes)
The first disk contains the software. The second and third disks contain the PDF files etc which the software on the first disk makes usuable.
Im not a fan of modified cars but each to there own and they keep the noise down and dont drive like idiots Im fine.
Personally Id go for handling, brakes and quiet power mods as Im a sleeper fan, and my drives to steep for any serious lowering for starters.
Yep it does its about a year out of date so no 182 but the Mk2 V6 seems to be there.
It covers the whole Renault range the older cars arnt as well covered and the PDF files arnt as clear but every Renault is covered for prices etc.
