My car only has two seats...can I get two more people to crouch in the back to get my three passenegrs in?? 😂😂 lol
On a serious note, when/how do I pay for the ticket. Annnddd...my step dad will hopefully have his Corsa ready by then, can I offer a space on the stand to...
Basically came to start the car after a week today and it wouldn't start - it turns over fine, battery isn't flat, can hear 'poping' from the exhaust to suggest compression, but it is as if you need to give it a bit of throttle to help it (that did nothing). Cranked over for about 20seconds in...
Should really learn how to upload pictyres direct from my phone instead of having to wait to come home to use the computer!
The throttle cable change was a sucess! Did lose skin from my kunckels as I was removing the arch lining and slipped. But I think this may have been to do with the problem...
I'm taking it up to see the girlfriend in North Wales next week, so the 4 hour drive there and another 4 hours back should give it time to settle, then I'll fanny around with the ride height. I can see myself getting proper OCD setting it up, and it taking all day to get it just right haha.
Oh...
Yes! It seems to do the job. I still need to drive it a bit more and set the ride height. Although I don't want to go too much lower as I think you had the height spot on, plus I won't be able to get on the drive!!! How was your damping set up? I read you had 10clicks from softest, not sure if...
Given the car a bit of a drive, feels a lot better and the steering is immediate. Very happy with it.
However....exhaust could be blowing :weary: this could be an excuse to get a whole new system though with added noise!!!!
Job done!!! Pedal feels a lot better. Will give it a proper test tomorrow.
Although the clips that hold the wheel arch lining on are a pig, may have pulled a few of the heads off.......will need replacing those!
Thanks! Hope it is worth the effort and money when I come to abuse it on track, need to book Llandow for March and CSF. Yeah, I probably should try and find something to cover them, but they look so nice!!!!!
My ARB is 22mm so should be stiffer than a Whiteline, aren't they 19mm? I've not driven...
Put the bolts in the wrong way so they poke up, put the top mounts in the wrong way and use a piece of string going across the back two bolts on the one side to the other side. This will make sure they are level and in a line so the bolt at the front is in the right place. This with a bit of an...
I hope so, it does feel as if the cable isnt doing anything. Driving in traffic is a nightmare as you can't do low revs.
Got the cable now so with your pictures and the post I found should be easy enough.
Thanks, kept me busy the winter and out of trouble! Few tinkering things to do over the...
I missed this post the other day! Good pictures, that will help later. If the new cable doesn't work I am just going to get a reconditioned TB, maybe that "enlarged" one because it will definitely add 4.82502bhp 😂 haha
But the way you can stop the car revving when it has stuck by...
My brother is a hero, get a picture from him with the bolts in a lathe as he is extending the thread. Then I get another text from him last night saying they are in and it's all done. I am not lazy, I just can't use a lathe and the car is on his drive way!
Few bit of touch up with the paint...
Bolts turned up today to fix the rear beam back on...thread isn't long enough ffs. Brother is taking them to work tomorrow to lengthen the threads.
Throttle cable ordered so will fit that Friday. Hopefully this will solve the throttle issue.
The one in the link says enlarged and has a new butterly CNC'd to go in it. I haven't properly looked at mine to know by sight if it looks enlarged. Did you do yours yourself then?
Is there a notable difference in performance with it? Presume need some re-map or something else to get the most...
Actaully a good post by Rob I have just found, will order a cable tomorrow

The way to change the cable is described on Rob's post is a lot clearer than what I found on other searches!
Need to sort out the throttle cable on the Ph1.....its useless! I am not sure if it just needs using after it has been left without use since September.
Did a bit of searching and found a few things and methods, but what I was going to do was cut the one end off at the pedal (think this end...
Trying to convince the woman to come along seeing as she has dragged me to horse shows (horses are even more expensive than cars)
Bit confused with the tickets though....what will I need for two people, inlcuding one track session for me and possibly a passenger pass (if she is feeling stupid to...
I've got 20mm H&R spacers on the front of mine. Not really used them yet as the car has been off the road sice September. But get ones with a steel insert that the bolts go in (not sure if this is standard) as threading directly into the ally spacers isn't the best idea. I did buy them second...
Haha luckily the car wasn't with me so it was safe :tonguewink: I actually had to spend money on it the other week which annoyed me; a bulb blew which involved removing the bumper to swap it
Some picture updates from the weekend, because it doesn't count unless pictures are taken 😂
Car sat on axel stands within an hour of being back on the road, this time on another driveway!
Front shocks came out with ease. Glad I changed the top mounts as this is what the one looked...
