Was a really nice cup close to me, I put a note on the window and never heard anything back then it arrived on scumtree a few weeks ago after being written off, #CupKillingSeason
Before you have it remapped with your new injectors, fit a better intercooler and a downpipe, this will let you reach 140-145hp, at which point you have reached the limit of the little turbo with its tiny exhaust housing!
From memory the sandero uses a similar ARB setup to the mk2 Clio non RS where it goes onto the underside of the lower arm with a rubber bush, i would bet though that there is a combo you can use in typical Renault fashion that lets you run a sportier setup from somthing else.
we have a DCI one at work and ive driven it quite a bit, it feels very like a mk4 clio to drive, looks like a parts bin special between a mk3 and mk4 too.
The sandero RS uses an F4R and in typical Renault fashion, all the engines run the same/similar mounts so its a fairly easy project!
there's plenty out there popping up with snapped belts that I bet were on their original belt of 15yrs+
Most of the ones I've seen have been aux belt/tensioner failure that's taken out the cam belt.
if its done 3k miles on its current belt there's not a chance in hell id be changing it! but id...
Good old saxo! Looks like I need to re seal the sunroof
This prompted me to have a clear out so I could keep it inside
Just fits!, Looks tidy under the bonnet too
been daily driving it any day that its dry now that I work close to home, get to use the ramps too after work which is a bonus!
because the original 182 was such a shed i just transfered everything over without spending any money on belts etc incase the engine was poor, turns out its mega...
i put a new genuine clutch and genuine clutch cable in one of mine, few months later it was back to being heavier and creaky lol - my van proper creaks when its warm
my understanding is the track is the same on ALL, cup got its wider track from the wheel offset, 182 has stronger front hubs (anyone ever cracked a 172 one? 😂 )
see changing career thread haha
the mrs has warned me not to make a habit of this, every time a customer now mentions something not been worth repairing my ears perk up
cost depends on what you pay for the parts, personally if it was me i would get a 2nd hand front anti roll bar, fit new bushes to it, 2nd hand hubs and calipers and fit new lower arms, dampers and springs.
also you will need the track rods and track rod ends I believe to make them long enough...
I paid £1k for it, looking at the previous sold eBay auctions I would say if it was average condition that's probably bang on the money for what its worth but having had a look around it id say its probably a good deal!
Bought this at work this week, done just over 60k, is 100% standard which i didn't think still existed!, Standard suspension, standard airbox, even has the standard stereo in the boot which ill stick back in! no 6x9s in the shelf etc lol
looks proper tidy underneath, I don't know a lot about...
