    well, new dials provide the issue of finding the correct mileage, and you could still end up with a set that had a speedo drive. Recoding by someone who really knows their way around CLiP is the best option, but not easy to find.

    The wiring is no different. It's all in the software coding.

    I personally wouldn't change to a 182 manifold just due to the work involved. Parts for sale etc is all limited to paid members. Worth doing.

    The 182 manifold gives more midrange. 4-1 is best for top end power.

    182 isn't 182 to start with, and it's mainly the exhaust manifold that makes the difference.

    No, you need to reconfigure the dials. But this isn't an easily done thing.

    How hard is it to put a ph1 gear stick in to a ph2

    exhaust split in the centre, 4xt30 torx, 2 crappy heatshield clips, 5x13mm nuts.

    If you have a regular 172 however, you just need someone like MicKPM or myself who knows their way around CLiP.

    FLOL. I did get a phone call, and he said he was looking for your building (I told him I'd copied the full address) so he said he shouldn't have had too much trouble. I like how it became a 48hr service when I paid for a 24h service Ffs.

    Tbh that's minimal. Check the rear calipers, make sure they are free and everything moves Emissions is precat lambda. 100%.

    Hi, Yes I can have a look. I highly doubt he has been able to check the dephaser for play without removing the belt. Give me a call 07969 124504, and I can have a glance over it and give you a decent diagnosis.

    I have seen that. Whether it's deliberate, I don't know.

    That is a trait of these on Combe. A remap would help, but they always drop off the power.

    I think I know the car, as I made a comment about how he used the correct locking tools yet there was a laser one on the scuttle. Edit, correct me if I'm wrong please.     No. It's a spring loaded ratchet mech on the pedal box.
