I mapped a car with pipers in after the original map done on it was shockingly bad.
I mapped a car this week with 438's, and must say they were very nice, took off at 5000rpm, died off a little at 7200 (this'll be due to the adjusted timing to achieve the better idle)
421's do the same but...
I personally wouldn't suggest fitting the front wishbone kit. It's a designed fail point in a crash, and in a crash with that fitted instead of it being a wishbone and subframe, it'll end up being a shell.
The cup racers ran full slicks and stock wishbones...
IME, pipers aren't worth the money. No more aggressive than 197 cams.
421's are possible on a stock ecu, just needs a raised idle.
420's waste of time.
428's same as the pipers.
Re: anyone recommend good mobile mechanic in Devon? Need timing belt changed and pull
I'm not mobile, however I'm in somerset and your local specialist.
The Britool guy won't stock genuine Renault tools. Any other brand WILL NOT do it properly. They will bend or even not fit.
You're looking at over £150 for all 3 parts (technically you need 4 as there is a different part you need for 1 tool)
Awesome :)
The blue one didn't do his wheel nuts up. And then the drivers side front make a bid for freedom
I did a 1.28 wet on road tyres before the bottom pulley started playing funny c**ts.
Ha, thanks :) I feel I was doing pretty well in being the fastest thing in my sessions until my crank pulley decided it'd had enough! Typical as I've been meaning to change it for about 2 weeks. but I've just not had the time to do anything other than customers cars.
