Fred doesn't do airbag reconfigure apparently. Mick at diamond motors does. Or I do.'but your airbag ecu has been configured incorrectly, or had a replacement one that's not from a cup.

Right, stop giving advice now. the second connection by the battery is nothing to worry about, will be for equipment that's not fitted. as karol has stated, the 1 wire to the alternator is just the exciter, so perfectly normal. tbh, you need to take it to someone who has the correct...

You using an open ended spanner or a ring?

The tri angled cup slots back in, may need a bit of GENTLE persuasion (I use a rubber mallet) then ther will be a groove that it slots into. There will also be a thrust washer that goes between the 2. I'd advise getting th bolt in plate from eBay and fitting that. But I have welded a few myself...

Spanner and a sharp jab with a copper hammer usually does it.

Battery out. 18mm, 2x13mm and give the metal plate on the rubber mount a few taps and it'll pop off

The buzzing is normal. Your getting electrical interference. Usually caused by the amp cable running too close to the electrical feed
