bump anyone? this thing just nearly put me through a bush backwords when i went round a dry roundabout at 20mph!!!! its dangerous need to order 2 new dampers tomorrow!
because its marketing, they all pull figures out their ass to sell them, theres no way on any N/A clio your going to get 10bhp from a "chip"
full exhaust, decent filter and remap will get 10bhp on a 172/182 if your lucky! not a 1.4!
i use the halfords special super dooper ones! £45 i think they cost, they do cheaper ones for arround £35 tho i think.
the one i have has a 4yr warranty too im sure!
Front:
Brembo MAX front disks (and sell your standard disks if they are new like you say)
EBC Green Stuff pads
Rear:
Standard Disks (come with bearings already fitted, dont bother with uprated)
EBC GreenStuff pads (low brake dust make it worth while over genuine, no point from a performance...
lol Kumho Ditch Finders i used to call them when i had a set on my turinis.
they were the worst wet tyres ive ever used in my life!! wernt to bad in the dry but not brilliant!
Both my rear dampers are leaking on my 172 (one leaking a bit more than the other!) so need to replace them this week, but was wondering if the 172 cup rear dampers were uprated over the standard 172 ones (i know the fronts are but wasnt sure if they changed the rears or just stuck with the same...
If thats 4.5k id be seriously worryed about your brakes! ive done nearly twice that before with green stuff pads and very heavy use and not had a single bit of a lip!
Blueprinting is when you build an engine to a certain specification, meaning everything is within a set tollerance, means everything runs smoother and can give a bit more power. for example if your flywheel or crankshaft is slightly heavyer at one side it causes vibration and can wear parts...
i use green stuff on my cars and do 5 or 6 30 to 10mph runs then maby another 5 80-10/20mph runs to bed them in.
just keep moving when doing it dont do 30-0mph hard stops or 80-0mph stops
