Resistor Pack for the fan is gone if its not blowing or only sometimes blowing, its under the scuttle pannel on the drivers side, held on by 2 tiny bolts. (the black plastic bit under the windscreen where the window wipers are just pops of and you'll see it)
as for the temperature not...
its worth replacing BOTH exhaust mounts at once as they both rely on each other being weak! even at that the rear one will still go soon, i modified mine on my old 1.2 to hold the exhaust up higher because it was sagging
no point bothering about power increases most of us have all been there done that if you dont want to LOOSE power then stick a pannel filter (£30) in the standard airbox and that'll free it up a bit but you wont get any power gains or extra noise
if you want the noise then just go for teh...
downstream wont cause any running issues but will still throw up the emmisions light after time i think?
upstream will cause issues, lumpy idle, flat spots when cold etc
yeah i did but was about 2 years ago and cant remember what the top bits looked like, must have been different as the standard renault ones dont fit, ive emailed MS World to see if they can supply them as looking at my old pics when the kit was brand new the rears came with bump stops etc too!
probably worth doing the clutch cable while your at it mate, i changed my clutch then done the cable a month later and what a difference it made to the pedal feel, much lighter!
They only cost about £30 for the 172 one (which fits the 1.2 16v) from renault, its probably worth paying that to get a brand new one instead of a worn one, especially when you've payed postage costs!
Fitting a second hand apex -60mm kit to a 1.2 16v dynamique for a mate and the front is done fine and the rear springs are done but the problem starts when it comes to the rear dampers!!
The kit just came with the rear dampers, none of the rubber mounts on the top and it would appear that the...
new clutch from renault was £60+vat last time i ordered 1 for a 1.2 16v, its not really a hard job to change if you have the tools, if your paying labour then ben_p probably right with £300 ish
think a new standard mount is arround the £30-£35 mark?
the polly bushes are £50 i think i payed, but thats just the bushes you still need the mount (not a problem on a 172, but for a 1.2 you need to buy the 172 mount too)
wouldnt bother with uprating all engine mounts, the vibration would be too anoying to live with on a road car tbh.
replacing it with a standard mount anually is an option but even with a brand new mount i still didnt like it, although its an option if you dont want the vibration at idle...
im not saying top mounts wont wear out quicker but its not like their going to fail overnight! plus they dont cost that much anyway so its worth it for the benefits of the more solid lower mount id say
i know their is mixed reviews and opinions on these due to the fact that they might put extra strain on the other mounts but after using one on my old 1.2 16v for 20k miles as soon as my 172 mount went i thought id get another set.
so fitted them today and i still stand by the statement that...
