^i doubt it, i managed a 10.5 with no rear seats, no carpets, no door cards, no spare wheel or tool kit along with a decated stainless system , pannel filter and modified airbox with a huge cold air feed! rr @83bhp!
woops alan posted before me, that was aimed at comment above his
EDITL just...
changing to a 1.4 is the same hastle as doing a 2.0 conversion, uch, wiring etc so go for another engine the same or go the full way with 2.0
2004 clio 1.2 16v will be the newer revised engine with different ecu and inlet manifold etc so go for a pre 2004 engine.
nice car mate, your 1.2 isnt that bad either tbh, ive seen much worse!
diadems are the future!! ive got them in mine and had them on my last clio although most here dont agree with them lol
dont worry about what they think, i have a neighbour who hates me because "im turning the street into a scrap yard" in her words which in reality means that usually on my days off im changing suspension for someone or fitting an exhaust or something silly
not sure if you can hire them or not, cant see why not! we took my engine out without one then managed to get one for puting new one back in, it makes the job 20x easyer!!!!
droped engine down and got 3 to LIFT the shell up over engine while 2 dragged it away haha
To be honest id only do a 2.0 16v
if your going to the cost and bother then thats the best option, if not then just stick another 1.2 in it and sell it to buy a valver/rsi if thats what you want.
makes it a bit lighter but not by much, still id say 3 people to lift it! especially into a car we were just throwing my engine into a van not a car with trim etc!
i read that wrong and thought you wanted to do a rear engine conversion with the seats folded down lol
it took 2 of us to lift a 1.2 16v into the back of a van, that wasnt easy! both of us not the strongest right enough, id say 3 strong to lift it if its got a gearbox on it.
looks a great turn out wish i could have made it but i was working, should just meet in my works carpark its huge lol then i can pop out!!
wish i had been to see Ali's VEE and that teg!, and the turini iceberg 172 to give myself ideas!!
I miss my black dynamique all the time! summer months with the windows down, decated powerflow exhaust pop pop bang bang! and your arse sitting inches from the ground, those were the days!
Cracking car matey, suits the non cup pack wheels in that colour actually!
not too far from me, im near stirling. check the meets section and get yourself along, were having a Rolling Road day on the 9th of feburary!
cant imagine how that handles after feeling the difference in mine between 15's and 16's! felt like a monster truck on 16s and that was still slammed 90mm lol
id give u a hand no problem pal, how is it for room behind the lights on the 197, was simple on his corsa, he got a kit designed for the car so was simple...
Remove old bulb,
replace with new bulb,
then the connector that plugs into the back of the bulb gets plugged into the xenon "box thing"...
yeah corsa has PIAA Platinum sidelights (same as my clio) and an HID Kit (just fitted it for him the day before!) and funny enough the HID kit took 10 minutes to fit, sidelights were 45 minutes lol sidelights are a bumper, wing and headlight off job on the ones with facelift headlights!!!
