ohh aye forgot to say the pics were taken up in carron valley only 5 minutes from stirling, the roards are awesome, maby worth a meet in the summer get some good pics etc, especially up at carron dam.
not really got any other decent pictures of it
not in front wheel drive form its not :rasp:
quote=Renault_Boy01;3577754]lol..this may sound random but i've heard it before from other people..did you find the 1.2 more fun to drive ?
its a weird one, the 172 is much more of an adreniline (spelling!) rush as its much quicker and still...
cheers, its a nice example, only mods are a cup splitter and Eibach Sportlines.
wheels need a refurb not sure if ill get them done or just get anthracite turinis!
Since it was snowing me and a mate thought we would go out for some pics in the snow, pics arnt the best as ive not got a decent camera, hopefully a DSLR soon tho!
First up was a quick wash before we headed up to the snowy hills! (was pretty pointless as the cars were covered in crap by the...
Think its going to be the GDI just cant decide between the Stealth or recessed!! i think the recessed looks awesome but if i want to sell the car standard its not ideal! but no plans for selling any time soon so suppose thats ok!
any reviews on it?
it already has lol its been off twice and been back under warranty already had a new backbox and a new centre section! its got a patern part centre section, not a genuine one and its even worse, doesnt fit properly etc!!
really not sure what i want, gibson172 has a custom from motorsport world...
Looking for some good pics both closeup and from distance of the new style renault sport badges on 172/182's as ive just ordered mine and want to make sure i get it perfect when placing it!
cheers
i used to get pulled constantly in my dynamique with decated stainless system and coilovers and its brilliant now that i can just drive where i need to go with no hastle in the 172! doesnt help that i look about 15 lol
tbh your not more likely to get pulled by the police in a 172 than you are in a 1.2, its not like its a subaru or something that sticks out, most people cant even tell the difference. i had mine for 5 months and my mum didnt even question it untill she had a shot of it because it felt powerfull...
my exhaust is blowing again, had enough so its time for a change so what to get?!
ive got about £400 to spend for a cat back, going to order it tomorrow hopefully!
it cant be overly loud as they days for me are passed lol
i was looking at the k-tec stealth mk2 but heard they sound crap...
na its well out the way but even when you put the cables through it its still well sealed, ive got my sub power cable running through it and its pretty thich!
it took me about an hour to get it through its a bit of a b*****d but u'll get there eventually LOL!
not sure about the 172 but when i had my 1.2 i had the polly bushes in the lower gearbox mount for 10,000 hard miles and the top mounts were fine after that (and they had done 140k!)
yep theres a big load of them they all sit in a lay-by sometimes untill 3-4am with their VTR's and Zetec-S fiestas couple of MG ZR's and the funny part is they ALL have they cheap ebay headlight bulbs, sorry xenons! as soon as a fast car goes past they all race out the lay-by after it!
got a fair few here too most of which try to race me, i dont bother as ive got better things to do, and then i still hear the storys about how that guy apparently "smoked" me as the local "car crew" like to call it these days about here
i had been driving for about 6 months when i got mine, i understood the basic do's and dont's when driving quickly, you dont lift off in a bend u dont brake in a bend you dont drive quick in the wet etc and by sticking to they rules i was able to drive quick enough to have plenty fun without...
because theirs to many imature people out there that think because they have a fast car means all year round whatever the condition they can "race"
all im saying is dont tar us all with the same brush, if you screw the head u'll be fine. i knew fine well being only insured 3rd party if i...
im asuming your refering to 17yr olds when you say "children", i survived being 17 in my 172 no problem infact i dont find myself in any more danger in my 172 than i was in my 1.2 as i know when its safe to drive enthusiastic and when its not, infact in normal driving its basically the same car...
i got mine at 17 when i had 0ncb, i bit the bullet, took the hit and insured it in my name with admiral for £2500 3rd party fire and theft
renewing it next month with 1years ncb for £1200 fully comp :)
its worth taking the huge hit for the sake of getting yourself 1 or 2 years ncb!
run them through the bonnet release cable grommet in the passengers side footwell (look up the back of the dashboard behind the glovebox, its tricky to get to but possible)
under the bonnet remove the coolant resoivar(sp?!) then the sound deadning behind it and you should be able to get to it...
im on my 5th set in teh last year and a half!
i actually get more fun driving in the wet because im always amazed at how much grip i get, i was nearly on 3 wheels lastnight in the wet going round a fast sweeping bend at 125 lol
koni adjustables are spot on dont know about the cheaper kits though. i had both Apex -60mm kit and FK Konigsport Coilovers on mine and loved both, coilovers were awesome but not worth the extra money handling wise, i just liked the lowered 90mm look lol
lol i remember when mine first went someone on here told me id have to cut a hole in my bonnet and get a new bonnet.
after 20 minutes of fiddling about i had my hand up the back of the bumper and poped it open with a screwdriver!
