OE spec exhaust for a 172 Cup?

It's ok. I did have some issues with a baffle coming loose but it was replaced under warranty. One of the stainless options is probably better for performance but I just wanted something cheap and cheerful and didn't want a load of noise.

OE spec exhaust for a 172 Cup?

I have a Klarius OE type one on mine. Euro Car Parts sell them, they're not very expensive.

If your car was off the road, what would you do to it?

This. And this. Took my rally car "off the road" for a couple of months to give the interior a little freshen up. Three years later and it's still little more than a rolling shell!

    Is steering rack wear common?

Not got the car back yet, having a couple of other things done at the same time.

New track car advice, R26, 197 or Fiesta ST

The Fiesta ST is a great car, but outgunned in that company. The turbo power of the Megane has its temptations, as the n/a Clio can feel a bit over stretched at times. At least with the Megane you would have more grunt to pass people on the straights. But, more cost and potential stuff to go...

Tune_R Motorsport customer build. 197 Cup Tricolore Class F Race Car.

Most interesting. Did you Tricolore guys race there last year? Would be interesting to see some lap times across the different classes. Not that I want to thread hijack!

You all need to do it, I want to see some lap times round Snet 300 for me to compare to!

Looks good, nothing like a nicely painted interior. Do you want some R3 carbon mirrors? Lol

When's the key being turned Mark? The suspense is killing me!

    Is steering rack wear common?

I've not noticed any clicking or clunking sounds from my car. My symptoms just seem to be severe tramlining and steering wriggle under hard acceleration on uneven roads, much more than other 172s I've driven. It's going to Mark Fish on Monday and he is fitting poly rack bushes amongst other...

Glad to hear it. I'm still tempted to get you to have a look at a JC5 for me though! There's also my MTX75 to consider, so you better hurry up and finish your car so you can get on with those lol.

Ha! I think my entire build has been one thing like this after another! Keep at it, this is the car on here I'm most looking forward to seeing finished!

Mad, but very cool. I might have missed this, but what will the body work be like?

    Kenny's Kup

Just had a look through the last couple of pages of this and...wow, that looks blinkin' awesome. A real shame you have to sell it. Be interested in what you think it's worth. A car with a lot of potential there.

    The £600 Cup Track Build

Yes I just looked at the CM site and it's down. Just read through all this - great build. Probably one of the best looking Cups I've seen. Wheels/ride height etc, all spot on.

    Zarko's 172'd Twingo

Ha! I had never ever thought of that, but I so see it! Interesting project this, will watch with interest. Remember seeing one in Max Power donkey's years ago with an R5 GTT engine in it.

Any love for an old Volvo?

Could always do this to it? Though I preferred this one. From this: To this:

I suspect not a million miles away from some of the stuff that was homologated for my Escort. As you say though, probably not worth it for the majority as I guess you'd need to move the tank too.

Any love for an old Volvo?

Well, as other people are doing it...my old 850 T-5... Used to love seeing people's faces when they heard it chattering away. It's still going strong six years after I sold it too.

    1000bhp+ on the drive!

Lovely collection, some real picks of different eras. Love the M5, one of the all time greats in my view. Would really love one of them.

Any love for an old Volvo?

Awful...unless it has a T-5 engine in it. Used to have a modified 850 T-5, loved that.

    Ghm's LY 182

Lovely car in a gorgeous colour, looks great. Really not a fan of the standard 182 wheels though. The colour is good, it just needs something a bit more racy to finish it off :)

    172 Tarmac Rally Car

That's a great result given the problems. But frustrating that someone else cost you so much time.

    K20 powered 172

Ah ok, thought it might be. If I ever ditch my standard pea shooter, I think it will have to be for one of these. Well, unless I fashion a side exit for it lol.
