    Beating the post-VX220 blues... Newbie

Hello! I bought a 172 Cup for the exact same purpose, just for some cheap thrills and it's amazing fun. You won't get anything more capable for the money. Mine is currently just sat in the garage now though. Can't really justify using it, but not sure I want to sell it either!

    Motorbike Itbs

I read a quite interesting article in Practical Performance Car magazine the other day, written by Dave Walker of Emerald fame. He basically said they're not really suited to car engines so are best avoided if possible. A lot of people in other tuning circles seem to use them and rate them, but...

    Ford Fair 2016

The 6 definitely has a nicer interior and is a nicer car to live with, but the looks of the MK5 steal it for me. Bit more aggressive.

    Ford Fair 2016

Yeah I know what you mean. I remember going to shows in around 2003-2007 and there were simply hundreds of Zetec-S Fiestas around. The ZSOC was nearly always the biggest stand at any Ford show. Seem to be hardly any left now though, the rot has got to them. Fun little cars though. I am a total...

    Ring Crash - Yellow Clio

Oops! Shame, looks a really nice car. Easy to make a mistake there though. I spun on my first ever lap and I thought I was going really slowly. Luckily didn't hit anything though.

    Ford Fair 2016

Nothing too glamorous, just some phone snaps I took while wandering around. For those not in the know (it is a Renault forum after all), Ford Fair is the biggest Ford show in Europe and is held at Silverstone. It's been a few years since I last visited and it's certainly changed a lot. There...

    Life expectancy 182 engines

Mine has done 135k now and still seems ok. Uses a bit of oil on track but I do kick the crap out of it. Would like to get it on the rollers actually, see what it has left.

Where is the best place to get my 182 mapped

If it's only got an air filter and exhaust, I'd save your money, it will be fine.

Clio 200 EDC, are they really that bad?

I drove a 200T at the 'ring and wasn't really very impressed by it. It went ok and handled ok, but it just didn't feel raw and exciting like an older RS Clio. It lacked the "special" feeling. The gearbox wasn't terrible but it wasn't nearly as good as the DSG in my Golf, or even the one in my...

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Totally understandable mate. Priorities change for us all in time. Be nice if you could get some pleasure out of it before it goes though. Interested in what you think it is worth though, if you'd like to PM me?

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Really hope you fix it and keep it Mark. My favourite car on CS by a stretch and after all your efforts, it would be good if you could enjoy it for a while. Saying that, it would make a nice addition to my collection lol.

Help: V6 induction or KTR?? (Photos inside)

V6 for me. If it was one of the Fatty style ones it might be different, but I think the uber long silicone hose on the Ktec one just looks silly.

Sunflower, including the spoiler for me.

    Facelift RS Clio 200T

Would have been an awesome car with the body mods from the concept car. Still looks too tame as-is.

Bloody hell, what a trip, makes my last one seem easy! Hope you get it sorted soon. I told you I should have gone out in it before you went lol.

Those R5s are really cool. The 106 Rallye and that Civic look ace too.

    Clio V6 Rep Turbo

I've seen far worse. At least it has a bit of power too. Terrible listing though.

    172 cup tarmac rally build

Those sill stands are monsters! Nice to see someone else rallying a Clio. Would love to convert mine, think it would make a cracking little car for not a lot of money.

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

Fair enough. I would do it myself. The car is totally apart and every little helps. You can only really do the shell once, so it's best to do it right first time in my opinion. This comes from someone who has a lot of background in engineering and motorsport by the way. As I say, my OCD...

Weather was crap when I did Stelvio unfortunately. I quite enjoyed it still. I thought Dolomite road was better personally.

RS Monaco Clio surprise (Renault Clio R.S.16)

I think it shows that they peaked a bit early with the Trophy. Perhaps should have stuck the body add-ons from this onto it, made it a bit more extreme looking. The regular 200/220 look cack next to this.

    New Clio Trophy

For most of the ones I did I just walked in and spoke to someone. For the Golf I had to book one as they had to make sure the car was available (it was being used by a manager and he wasn't always there). Renault were pricks I must say, so I ended up trying one I found at a Fiat dealer. I...

    New Clio Trophy

Not driven the Fez ST. Really should. Drove a 200T and found it very disappointing. Gearbox was terrible compared to the DSG in my Golf. Just saying that surely it's worth test driving the options first? You can only learn so much from a review. Before I got my Golf I watched loads of videos...

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

Fair play for tackling the sealant like that. I would have just sent it to a blaster lol. I saw a bit of a seam welding chat and I would be interested in what problems your friend thinks it could cause? I have heard people say it can cause cracking, but usually only when the seams are welded...

    New Clio Trophy

Drive both. And drive the 208 for that matter. Better to make an informed opinion by testing everything rather than ruling a car out because people you know have one. Fiesta is widely regarded as the best B-segment hot hatch of its generation, so worth looking at surely?
