Looks ace that. Nice to see something like that being saved, bet a lot of them ended up on the scrap heap!
Must be cool owning something that you loved as a kid. I always wanted the Max Power Project 2000 Escort, would love to buy that!
Would this be new or used? Buying or leasing?
These are "ok" but, having driven one, I wasn't that impressed. Not a bad car, don't get me wrong, but there are some other great cars out there right now.
I did wander past but you were deep in conversation, then didn't see much of you again. I had a brief chat with one of the guys spannering on your car. I really recognise him from somewhere. I'm sure he knows some people I know from rallies oop north but struggling to place him
Well done on the...
Ah ok. Blinkin' Facebook, can do without that. Lovely car though.
I even took a picture of the wheel for some reason:
Nice to see one in excellent standard condition.
Some pictures from yesterday's Bolton Midnight rally, the last round of the MSN Circuit Rally Championship. @EVOgone was there in his Cup car and running very well indeed, knocking about the podium places all day and generally upsetting much bigger and more powerful cars.

Yeah I think now is the time to try and get some enjoyment out of it. Get the essentials done and then have some fun. You can always make more tweaks later.
Very easy for a project to get very long-winded as you know already I'm sure, so be good for you to have some fun over the summer!
Ha! I know I know, but it would be interesting, just for the sake of science. I would guess you are right. Getting good runner length to keep the torque up would be difficult. Should be a riot now for sure, good torque for a little four banger.
I am looking forward to a ride some time!
Epic Mark, just epic. Just shows what a proper engine can do. No fuss with ITBs, just proper bits doing the business. I must say though, it would be interesting to see what a set of ITBs did for it, whether they had much impact on output or driveability.
When's my ride?!
That looks lovely!
I was always more of a MK3 guy myself but I did have two MK2s; an Equipe and a 1600E.
Orions get a bit of stick but I've always had a real soft spot for them.
