the black part is the idler not the pivot. the pivot is where the bolt goes through.
unless you're going to get an A/C delete setup (I would for your build) then you need a new aux tensioner kit.
Did i leave one of my timing pins in your engine btw?? be good if you could drop it in the post :)
I'd choose the ph1 because of the exhaust ports if presented with a choice. As standard it makes minimal difference, but on a hi output build or even with moderate tuning you see a few bhp extra
That's what I most dislike about 428s. All the gains are right up the revs. They can work but you need to wring the Hell out of the engine. 421s are man cams
it's there because the fuel rail is plastic so you need some protection from it fracturing in an impact. However it's probably a bit of over caution from renault. I certainly wouldn't panic about it, but if you can get one cheap and easy then yeah, chuck it on
i've swapped a rocker cover. Had to have it re-honed at quite a large cost as the cams locked up once the bolts were torqued. Wont be doing that again, fine in theory, but just a bit of a pain to sort out in a cost effective manner.
182 plenum fits 172 head fine BTW
Doing testing ASAP on this. Want to get cat 421s working as well as possible on standard ecu. Better with standalone though, as said already.
Don't bother with 428s. Not found a setup they really compliment at all yet.
They worked ok at the time when access to the ecu was almost non existent. Better ways to do it now. Piggy back ecu still works fine on non learning ecus though.
desire is significantly better, but i think it depends if you are going to use the potential of the phone's processor, better screen etc. Wildfire is an excellent phone
