did a megane DCi today.......which was nice. How do they put an engine in a clio, and there's plenty of room, and in a much bigger car, there's fag paper gaps around the thing
as above.
First thing that brings it to my attention is the lack of an alarm switch on the slam panel. You'd never really know unless you looked extremely closely
it's there for headlight leveling, cup doesn't have it as it doesn't have xenon lights, but MOT testers sometimes see it "missing" and think it's for the brakes (as it was on mk1 clios)
Tom normally keeps in contact with everyone, and not been in this workshop very long. Tom and James will both be back from standing on planks in the snow soon, and thinks like direct phone will be sorted
other way round, F4R pistons in an F7R take the CR lower, F7R in F4R and it's higher than 8.5 (around 9:1 roughly). Not dramatic, but just too low for the size of turbo being used
well, in theory it could be over-revving. Seen them go on engines that have been living on the limiter too much. But there's also a fault that renault acknowledged in a tech update
