    VVT 1*2.

oh, and the VVT acts to give a more stable idle as the stock cams are "relatively" wild for a standard car. without it you'd need a high idle, and i doubt it'd be happy at lambda 1.

    VVT 1*2.

lot of bullshit in this thread. s**t on a stick the "kick" is coming OFF lean burn/enonomy. nothing to do with coming "on cam", nothing to do with VVT. It's ENTIRELY mapping, due to regulations for emissions, proven by proper mapping smoothing it out completely

    Pads for Compbrake 4 pots

because pad compound get embedded in the disk, and a new pad wont be fully effective acting with it

    Sealing OMEX CTS

no, soft ally and not much thread, you're likely to damage it. just some liquid gasket. Loctite black silicon from halfords will do fine

    Sealing OMEX CTS

use an extra washer, and put some silicon on the thread and around the sealing face. once it sets it'll be leak free

    1.2 16v Belt Changes ( almost 5 years, 40k ish )

Yes get it done if you have any doubt. 1.2s are very neglected with things like this. I do every belt on every car that sold by Ashby clio, regardless of history. Mostly if it's been done, it's a hack job. doubt you'll save anything by supplying, let the garage make their cut, it's how they...

    1.8 16v or Williams

it's not that confusing, just a PHP forum not VBB. You'll find it well worthwhile as a mk1 owner that car looks ok for the money. I'd definitely take someone who knows mk1s to look though

they are simple, all you're doing is moving the fulcrum point

    Lose aux belt overheat...

possible. Aux belt runs the water pump too. belt being changed for a "shorter" one???? bullshit it's auto tensioned and they're a pain in the arse being the length they are already. Happy to have a look if you want to come over to JMS in Uxbridge when i'm there
