I've had a 205 gti (same caliper) do that before and it never worked the same again :(
clockwise is correct, it should just go onto the thread with a little pressure at the same time as turning (a special tool is available)
I'd argue that point, and isn't it only the very latest (as in this year) 1.4 and 1.6 that even have vvt??? I know the few 1.6 (k4m) that i've worked on havn't had it
swings and roundabouts. Power will help you overtake quicker and safer, brakes and suspension will help you deal with the corner that's approaching a lot faster after the overtake, due to more power. A balance of both is the key to modification.
Very much agree on the 5-7bhp gains
That's down to buying the wrong shocks IMO. If they dont have camber adjustment, they should be cheap enough that you can buy camber bolts. Any thing I'd spec, comes with camber adjust as standard
LOL. OK, i'd say i've done roughly 80 of these, you're really simplifying it a hell of a lot, and that's why it's so common for the job to be done wrong.
why would you bother with upgrading suspension, and not having camber adjustment? Camber changes with adjusting the ride height, adjustment is imperative
My personal opinion is, if you're planning to mod the car, a few optional extras are over-ridden. There's so little difference anyway in...
just a completely different hose. You can leave the canister there if you're worried about tank breather fumes, wont make any difference, just leave the pipe off to the engine. all you'll need then is a piece of hose, and a bung (bolt will do the job) and a couple of jubillee clips, OR just use...
would the fab guy be Chris (goes by "northern chris" on forums) ??
Equal length driveshafts would defintely be better, i think you'll struggle though, the space is restrictive to say the least
there's your problem. IMO that almost doesn't exist :( bought in 3 once and all had early signs of splitting. An new one from renault is the only way to go, or you'll keep having the same problem
