right re-read, I THINK that post means, with clio v6 calipers on a 172 hub you will need 310-315mm disks to make it work. E36 M3 discs would be worth looking at, ofset needs considering though, but spacers on the caliper would be ok :)
not if you want 310mm disks. Easy to get them re-drilled then you'll have MAN brakes
trouble is, your fronts will be so good, you'll start to need to think about rear upgrades which most dont worry with on clios. If you make the fronts too good without touching rears, you'll get excessive...
talking b****cks. the lambda they're talking about is a secondary that ONLY tells you when the cat isn't working. You'll most likely get a light come on, nothing else
if you've no power tools (impact gun), you need to lock the flywheel with something heavy duty (pry-bar, screwdriver etc) then get a big breaker bar on there. You're not going to be able to get it undone with a ratchet
would if it's blocked
more likely to be a sensor faulty, or something unplugged IMO. A health check (compression, leakdown) and plugging diagnostics in sounds like a good idea to me. Faulty temp sensor is most likely as an educated guess
quoted for truth
I've driven a lot of all variations, there are fast ones and slow ones, and variations inbetween. There's naff all between a 172 and a 182 just based on the name.
"dont worry about it" probably means he's not sure, but will work it out when it's there infront of him, but he doesn't want to tell you that as you'll get nervous ;)
there's 2 types of oe tensioner, yours is one I've seen a few of so that's not an issue. does look like it's the wrong way up, but if the cut out is lined up, it wont cause an issue, the tensioner works on an eccentric cam, just looks like you've gone past the point of maximum tension and back down.
