we do a couple of kits- lines discs and pads, minor differences depending on what you want. give us a call tomorrow if you want :)
yeah nice to meet you too, some really nice CS guys came and spoke to us over the weekend :)
if they're fading on the road, change them. you'll get frustrated and it'll cost you time on track if they're cooked quickly. do disks at the same time as pads if you're changing pad compound
I dont trust EBC on a road car let alone on track. Saying that, Fred has a point, if you've never done track work before you're unlikely to run into trouble. Some new fluid might help you avoid the pedal going to the floor for a bit longer
yeah all lower manifolds bolt straight on, no issues. The plenum has a few differences, but for this application (going in a mk1) a ph1 plenum will be ideal. 1 bolt will be left out from where plenum is bolted to rocker cover, and there's a couple of pipes different, BUT nothing that matter for...
you dont "need" uprated rods, but i would while you're there, if you fitted pistons.
just go for the 428s, they make for a very quick car when paired to the ITB kit
had a good poke around it today and a chat with the very friendly guy on the stand :) It's very similar but based on a 1.8 version. Block is marked F4C, a 197 block is marked F4A
The installed item in the car is a work of art
some rollers can do run down measurements for transmission losses, they're not exact but pretty close mostly. Increased tyre pressures would have given a greater measured loss, so if they pumped your tyres up before the run, that would explain the high flywheel figure.
And to be honest, dont...
Non would have won a lot more if he'd have tracked his s15 rather than using the old s13, which was totally standard with just a diff. Tallented guy.
Kiki in a brand new E46 M3, twinning with one of the other option guys round Northampton banger track was just something else.
I miss those...
known Non for years :) And Kiki. Met Non when he had just bought his s13, completely standard, and was taking it up the strip at Pod. Must have been 2001. Knew them both quite well through the OPT drift club days. Sad when Kiki moved back to Thailand. Remember him trying to drift that NSX :S Fail :S
