    absolutely. SBV116s bay looks fantastic, but not everyone want the same aesthetic indulgence. I can appreciate it, but I wouldn't even consider going to those lengths on my own car. There is no one right solution to all requirements.

    Richard (at Omex) has a set on his own 182, with 90mm trumpets, and still has the AC. Uses it every day :). I've fitted several sets to AC equiped cars

    can happen if you sit with your foot on the pedal when the disks are really hot. I've managed to resurect disks once when i had a terrible judder, i massively abused them and got them so hot they cleaned themselves up, then was a bit more careful to cool them down while still moving. not very...

    200 is ignition only. really designed for carb'd cars. 600 would be the one Loving this project, will be watching. Good luck :)

    AST people look in ...

    "better" is very subjective. H&R are ok (though Blistein are identical and cheaper by a significant amount) i prefer AST. The damping IMO is fantastic, and i like the range of adjustments. H&R/Bilstein are only height adjustable, even have to buy camber bolts extra.

    that bit's quite easy though. If you use a proper clubman/race loom you only need to connect a few wires in the relay box, a couple of earths, and a live. saves a lot of headache

    172 doesn't use pencil coils ;) most likely a coked plug, if the car's not getting a run it's best not to start it up and just let it idle

    economy is pretty much same as standard when you're not driving hard. Uses more when you put your toe in obviously ;) no clue on 0-60
