must have been another one, defintely done it and it wasn't nice.
Sounds like damned hard work on a vee, the rear bulkhead would be quite a nice place but i guess the glovebox has the advantage of easy plug in access
could still be done if you really wanted I guess. Didn't I help you (or might have been Stu) cut the holes in Yoz's bulkhead to get the wires through? very vague memory of it as it was so long ago.
End of the day it's a kit designed to be quick and easy to fit, cutting holes (as there's no...
use a better sensor ;) it's included in the kit
The extras you get are things to fit the bodies and ECU in the best way, tailored loom, CNC and anodised bracketry, clips, fasteners and everything to fit the bodies so you dont have to find anything for yourself. The jenvey parts are what has...
looks a lovely car. The manifolds available for the 172 engine use a t2 flange so a t28 is your best option IMO. They work really well. That's going to be an animal with 260+bhp
agreed. lots of good co-axials with built in crossover and tweeter adjustment now. Only cheap components worth looking at are Maystar QX ahich are scarily good for such a cheap brand
spanner on and give it a clout to shock it off
Should be fine without for a few days however, ECU is designed to run rich if the lambda is faulty/missing
yes definitely. seen and done it more than a few times.
As far as what ECU to use, it's most important to work out who you want to map it first, then use a system they are completely comfortable with. You'll get more from whatever system you end up with that way.
We use Omex, it's what...
you only need the aux belt kit if there's actually a problem with yours. I know a few people have seen them need replacing, but I'm yet to see one and I've done quite a lot now (changed 2 aux belts just today) We (GDI) always use a full renault cambelt kit to protect warranties. If you're doing...
do it at 5 years at the latest regardless of milage. No exceptions
36k includes the aux belt, but that should have been done at 3 years (depends who you ask). I would do both the cam belt and aux belt together NOW
could be one of 2 things. belt may need tightening a little, or the battery could be a little weak, and with the strain of starting, the alternator is working a little harder. Try the belt first :)
