phone us and have a chat to Andy. We're actually working on replacing the original sensor with a different one because it's so inconsistent. Can be made to work, Andy said he'll talk you through :)

out the bottom on the subframe if you can. Not always easy without a 2 post ramp though. I've done it out the top before, working on the floor, and the worst bit is the downpipe and the short side driveshaft (gearbox oil = devils piss)
148 on high speed bowl at Millbrook. quite scary, anything over 100 and you're turning left to stay in lane, and the faster you go the more you're turning the wheel just to stay straight, which is odd
fitted a few sets. Stronger valve springs are intended to prevent the valves floating when using cams with high lift and fast ramp and decline rates at high RPM (ie valve bounce)
lol, it wouldn't be a new thing, plenty of ECU editing programs available for other marques and have been for years. ODB stuff is just harder to access, not like old eprom chipped ECUs. Harder and not as flexible as standalone though
lol, I'd jump on that. I was looking for one with similar damage before I bought my 205 when my s13 was written off. Dont seem to be many that come up for sale without being fixed
Cost up for 16 new valves, then if some are ok (likely to be at least 8 bent TBH) it's better than you've budgeted for. Pistons will probably be lightly marked (small dents) but unless you want race perfection it honestly shouldn't matter. Look for bent or snapped springs and any damage to...
Oh I know there's junk out there. I also think standard 172 (not cup) suspension is soft, soggy and aweful. Renault had to compromise so handling suffers in the name of comfort. The rear shocks also leak far to regularly, so the build quality really isn't that great
I hate that arguement. OEM is made to a budget and as a compromise. Plenty of things that are changed without a second thought, but other things "renault know best, they spent millions developing it". Please
awesome isn't it :D
My mate does it in a 1.6 205 gti. He's on his 2nd shell and 3rd engine after one season lol. Shell number 3 is sat on the front garden waiting for the inevitable
certain facts that are taken as read and repeated then passed on and repeated until no-one knows who came up with the fact but it's still accepted. Then you look at it from scratch and realise the only way to be sure is to find out yourself
Stan, I'll get some pics up of the non CNC'd head :)
