Having never looked at RStuner, is it just an upload facility for existing maps, or does it give access to the fuel and ignition timing maps for live editing?
right, just nipped into work to get some of my bits and got this head infront of me. 3 words simplify this situation. YOU ARE WRONG ;) I'll take some pictures tuesday, Andy's taken the camera home
I know why it's done. They are NOT all the same though. Like I said we have an early 172 head with no CNC work done, had a CNC'd 172 head in with half the port CNC'd and a 182 head with full CNC work done both very recently.
I've killed a set of discs and pads in 2k before ;) It's possible that there's a caliper probelm and the pad has been worn out very fast. Pads are cheap and discs aren't too pricey either really so if it's not covered by the warantee, it shouldn't hurt the wallet too badly
A clue to age and...
shove a load of wire wool up the pipe. Try to leave a hole through it though so it doesn't get blown straight out lol. Quite a common way of passing track day noise tests ;)
the heavy water they're talking about is a jet wash which would blow holes lol ;) :) shower sounds a great idea. you're unlikely to get a cotton filter spotless but cleaning out as much as you can is great. Sounds like you've done it just right
most important thing with a trolley jack IMO is the size of the saddle. A small saddle will cause more damage when lifting as the weight wont be spread enough.
can't live by what ifs all the time though, if you can get a good deal on it and do the needed work ASAP and you're happy with the rest of the car, I'd go for it
