i'd say the 17-55 f2.8 having bought it, very good all round lens!
i've got a spare 17-85 IS going cheap if anyone is interested, thought f**k it today and bought the 50d kit (can't get the body so had to buy kit but the kit was cheaper than what most people are selling the body for, just need...
not 3k's worth of camera equipment, maybe a £200 sony PAS.
And having tried to claim on holiday insurance earlier this year i know that they are extremely difficult to get anything out of, they have clauses here there and everywhere to avoid paying out, they will literally do anything to not...
don't think it covers items like expensive cameras though and not when abroad, so i thought it would be best to separate it, also if i made a claim it then wouldn't make my whole household insurance go up etc.
there was no one else around, i was by myself so no embarassment.
i'm sure you can see the funny side of nearly smashing your camera and 5 day old lens, i nearly pissed myself with laughter, hope it never happens to you.......... ;)
no, was a small sort of drain cover about a foot square and i was standing on the corner of it and it hadn't been set right so it went down as the other corner came up and my foot went down.
Not really the point of this thread, but thanks for the interest.
Well, after what has just happened I have been thinking about taking this out now that my camera equipment is getting quite expensive.
Basically, I was trying out my new 10-22 lens and the manhole cover i was standing on collapsed down the hole as it was secured properly, my camera went flying...
if you have a license agreement you can download them through the portal as media is being discontinued, or if you have an msdn subscription they will be in there
Phew, glad i spent a s**t load of money on EF-s lenses yesterday otherwise my bank would have been on the cusp of going under......;)
Lovely camera, think i'll stick to my amateur 50d for now.
i have a decent rucksac with separate compartments for my laptop and the camera and lens so i'm probably going to take that, just have nothing to properly protect them individually in there as i have no lens cases except the 70-200L which comes with one.
Will just see how it goes i guess, just...
erm, no, thats my first problem, my camera bag now no longer fits the bill, when i go to peru i'm just putting the lenses in my rucksac, won't take the 50mm i don't think, just the other three.
no, not joined flickr, i put all my pics on photobucket and facebook.
These lenses are for my trip to peru, so the 10-22 is for the landscapes (machu piccu) and the 17-55 is to replace my 350d kit lens.
well, had an expensive day...............
as i was down souff i dropped into park cameras and spent a bit of money.
After seeing these pics i picked up the 17-55 2.8 and also a 10-22.
Witha couple of filters it was around £1170, just need the 50d now next week................
Just hope the...
no it isn't, if it had a password and you crackeds it then that would but a publically accessible website is an offer to invite, just like a shop with an open door is, theres nothing illegal about it.
And also, revels comments that keeping things on vhs is illegal, that is a very old law and...
not one of those does everything my tomtom does, the first one isn't even support postcodes, they all have rubbish screens, i want to see where the road is heading, not just an arrow at the next junction, they are as bad as the manufacturers ones.
And how does one of those help me when i go...
i was driving to a premier inn the other night after a long day and flight and had put the postcode in, was nearly there and it was telling me to turn left at a roundabout, i was only a few hundred metres away supposedly but over the right i could see a premier inn sign so i disobeyed it, drove...
lol, i used to use tomtom on my phone and i was in the centre of london last week having got to the address with tomtom and then i needed to get out and my phone wouldn't lock on to the satellites, I pulled over and sat there thinking, what the hell do i do now, i haven't got a clue how to get...
what a ridiculous statement, i have a very good sense of direction and rarely get lost but i have a tomtom and use it regularly, it takes the stress out of missing an exit etc, it just re-routes you.
It enables people to drive through london and big cities safely without worrying about road...
Re: Cerns Large Hadrom Collider - Biggest Physics Experiment EVER. Discussion Here!
theres been a thread in general chat about this for weeks now. Probably needs merging.
nice pics but whats with all this diamond shaped framing people seem to be doing, not sure if its just me but I really do find it annoying, like its trying too hard to look like something its not, i have to tilt me head to look at the pics properly. Like I said, might just be me but i'm not a...
