*older peep chips in* would be a bit much for me I must admit, thinking of going to that guy for a custom zorst for our Megane though, it looks quality.
Sounds complex, but Im going to try a DIY effort anyway just to see what can be done. My original 172 wheels are well shot (due to my own incompetence), so nothing to lose really.
Dont have a lathe, just a load of wet n dry and willpower!
Didnt want to mod my 172 when I bought it new. 1 month later, springs. 3 months later, Magnex.....
2 years later, strut brace, splitter, ECU, rims, silcone hose kit, filter .........
go on, you know you want to :devilish:
Took me the whole day to paint those Megane wheels last week, what with prep, sanding, masking etc. I was really surprised how well they turned out though.
Its a pain using refurbishers - have to get tyres removed - ££, take wheels for refurb - ££££££ - get tyres refitted - ££ again. Not...
Get it on a track. then decide. Loads of people (me included) have swapped the 172 springs for Eibachs, with very good improvements. Its a cheap modification, and the best one youll ever make.
Theres nothing wrong with the standard shocks unless you want a big drop. Had no problems from Renault with my Eibachs - fitted them when the car was about a month old.
