Main beam is a normal bulb - only the dips are H.I.D. When you order your bulbs be sure to order some new fingers as well.

Welcome to the forum mate! The gearbox will loosen up a bit, but if its doing it every time it could be that the synchromesh is a little iffy. Youll get used to the tramlining effect at low speeds - the car will develop a mind of its own on anything other than a perfectly smooth surface.

Never had any problems at all. Theyre probably right according to the letter of the law, but a good dealer will take a more reasonable view (e.g. how can an exhaust have caused your stereo to fail).

Just get a set of Eibachs, about £120. 60mm is way too low for a 172 BTW, about 30 or 40 is all you want.
