In my opinion there are other alternatives availible, if you want to have a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold at your K4M engine. As the subframe of the ClioII differs not verymuch from the ClioI (also in terms of rear engine mount position) I think it´s possible to adapt for example the supersprint...
I can´t say, for my purpose the 172 manifold was the ideal base. Other strong point, they are easy to get, because many 172 owners install the 182 manifold...
Yes I did, but not installed yet. At the moment I still have a warranty claim (f**** ignition coils) and I want to have solved this in advance before installing it.
I can´t say if this will improve anything. I got the RS manifold very cheap und also the flanges, so I thought let´s try it. I...
If you have two oxygen-sensors (one before and one after the cat) the ecu will recognize the missing cat an the MIL will be on. Won´t have an influence on power, but it´s on and you have an entry in your failure memory.
I would recommend a 200 cell sport catalyst und an exhaust manifold.
I...
Reducing the CR by skimming the head isn´t really professional, better use high compression pistions like they are offered by wössner http://www.woessner-kolben.de/english/indexenglish.html
By skimming the head you also change the valve timing because you reduce the distance between the crank...
In your case, where you like to touch the 100hp/l, I would think about simply modifying a 172 manifold (or even 182...). The flange to the cylinder head between the F4R and the K4M engine ist completely the same except the 9mm smaller cylinder distance, so I think this is possible by welding on...
I think there is nothing better availible at the moment, except of other handmade and excklusive stuff. With this thing and other mods (cams, etc.), but with still the stock intakemanifold and no head work or lighter fly-wheel, I have 133hp and 178Nm.
Your intake system looks amazing!
I would also like.....
At the moment I run with the supersprint manifold at my K4M, that´s more ore less a smaller copy of the 172 manifold.
A tuner here in germany (sk-tuning) sells an exhaust manifold for the K4M engine in "4-2-1 style", but in my opinion this thing is also crap, bad...
Is here somebody who can explain to me the differences regarding torque and power of a 4in1 compared to a 4in2in1 exhaust collector at a 4 cylinder engine?:S
Two cases:
case 1: The single hose lenght of the 4in1 collector is as long as the overal length of the 4in2in1 collector.
case...
I don´t think porsche engineers are stupid...
"Astride the tall uprights of the fixed, carbon-fiber rear wing sit forward-facing ram-air inlets, which are a nice nod to the original, 993-based GT2."

I have placed it in the left foglight, no problems regarding humidity up to now. O.K., you are collecting more dirt, that requires more frequently cleaning of the filter.
I repositioned the rear muffler and painted it black, now I think that´s O.K.
In addition I installed a middle-silencer with 60mm in- and outlet.
The the noise is pretty low and the back-pressure didn´t also increase...
and a custom "induction kit"...
What about installing a Rotrex-Supercharger instead of the AC-compressor?

They are small and efficient...
But in my opinion the k4m engine is also a good base for "classic" tuning.
