Head Unit Help (power when ignition off)

Just fitted my Pioneer head unit (eventually!!)

Works great expect it looses all my settings when I switch the engine off and the facia doest flip down for me to remove it.

Now Im assuming this is a power issue when the engine is off. Has anyone got any ideas how to solve it??

Its a MK1 172!

Which red and yellow wires? There only a black and red clip? (im not to clever with stuff like this)

there are two feeds(on the loom for the HU), one is red one is yellow.

the switched feed is in the wrong place so you need to swap them round.

Its this bad boy! I have a stalk adaptor to, not sure if that make any difference.

easy solution

remove head unit, look at wiring loom, there will be a red (constant +ve) and a yellow (switchable +ve) these need to be swapped over, just pull the cable from the loom then plug them in the correct slot



refit head unit and roberts you fathers brother

yeah had same issuse with my calibra just had to change the red and yellow wires around

perfect now
