the column is SIMPLE to remove !! few bolts inside, one in the engine bay (under the gaitor) and roberts your mothers brother !!
can all be done in the car but its much easier out !!
new columns are £136 from renault which is a rip off mate !! have it welded up, mines as solid as a rock now as HAS will verify i was taking islands on 2/3 wheels yesterday !!
Dont you know anyone who can weld it really is an easy job, unbolt the column take it out, weld it up and replace it !!

It shouldnt really lose any water as its a sealed pressurised system ! How much has it lost ? it might just be that you underfilled the system due to there being air in the system, now that the air has escaped (probably via the pressure cap) that the water level has dropped. Top up the water and...
TBH i can only see that thing LOOSING you power !! The airflow through that is gonna be really restricted due to that fan, theres no way that a crappy little platic fan could spin upto the sorts of speeds needed for any gain !!
Radar is the least commonly used detection method used today in the UK !! Its so dated that most mobile guns etc are laser !! Dont worry about radar !! If you are that bothered get the addon, the B2 is the best bit of kit for the money and Has (clio16vsport) can get you one cheaper than most places.

There is a keyhole in the passenger footwell at the top near the plastics, look hard its just a small keyhole type thing, there is also a small keyhole which is covered by a rubber cap under by the washer bottle, pull the cap off to reveal the keyhole
