possibly make a cut into the bars that run across, and then get them welded up. not sure what effect this will make on the strength of the frame though.

if you e-mail the seller here, it'll either be karl or mark, ask them for a price on the beru or genuine ones. they'll...
Either genuine Renault one's or the Beru one's. Wouldn't say there is a difference between them so it's up to on how much you can afford to spend on them.
I'd stay away from them ones listed on that ebay link, you may end up having to change them again in 12 months time. Always go for OE if not...
nah mate, they're vw orange and sprayed them myself - and not photoshopped! might need to have a look at your screen settings as they're a perfect orange on mine haha!
with the gt width ones, i think if i remember correctly you can have the x-low subframes but you need to buy the adaptor plates to go with them. can be done, just need the adaptor plates which allow for the gt width seats.
GSF.
Genuine renault's are about £30+ vat.
OE spec Beru are about £22+ vat.
Aftermarket ones are about £16+ vat.
Part number is 925RE006 or if your local branch is still using the older numbers it's R92506.
yeah if you could take us for a drive in it to get a feel for it, that would be great warren. let us know next time your over at BTM and I'll pop over it. Almost like a drop in centre!
lol @ CS meet at Fred's - get it sorted!
i've heard the kw v2's are excellent, am thinking about a set myself. can't get it into my head that spending £300 on cheaper coilovers will be worth it- just don't think they'll be up to the job imo.
i'm a believer in the more you spend, the better you get.
warren4- what's the rear...
if going for a rebuild.
top end wise you'll need something like:
head gasket
head set
inlet valves x8
exhaust valves x8
cam belt kit
oil and filter
don't think there's anything else. if you can source a head cheaper then doing a rebuild go that way, but bear in mind it would be wise to stick...
yeah that's the one, i don't really mind as that cover will be coming off soon anyways.
for quickness i'd recommend just getting the cobra x-low one then.
damn right, not the best welding (too fred's disgust :rasp:), and you have to cust out a slight bit of the inner interior sill as their bracket hasn't been made up properly! But.. at least it fits!
