All the free s**t on XMBC, lets not beat around the bush.
EDIT: Obviously you could download it all beforehand, but streaming is just less hassle, less need to prepare.
If you buy a Mac where the RAM can't be upgraded, can it actually be upgraded if you take it to Apple and pay them some extortionate amount of dollar, or are there kits out there so you can change it yourself?
As for 21.5 vs 27, I'd say that's a no brainer, the 27 is amazing, dat screen, dat...
You can extend your desktop with ATV + Mac? Didn't realise you could do more than mirror, that makes it slightly more worth the money, but I guess you're effectively paying £120+ (ATV 1/2 - cost of Pi setup) for a wireless hdmi cable...
Take a look in the for sale section at Dan@M.A.D's thread, he's got a couple of well kept iMac's for sale, could be good for yourself.
Also, Uni discount will probably trump company discount (did for me) so maybe look to go down that route if you buy new.
Know any names or got any links? I can see a few YouTube videos advertising cheap Chinese/Japanese devices claiming to have full functionality, but nothing solid.
I guess it's mainly down to me wanting it 'all'.
Ideally I want a Pi running Raspbmc so I can use XBMC with full add-ons, but I also want to have the rPlay extension to allow Airplay, which currently only supports screen mirroring from an iPad.
Has anyone on here spent any time messing about with Apple TV 1/2 alternatives? They're going for around £170+ now on eBay, so trying to get the same sort of functionality on the cheap. Raspberry Pi seems to be the best alternative, but doesn't fully support Airplay; won't work from a Macbook...
Took the plunge. Finance all went through fine, but at the end it said I'd receive a confirmation email from both Barclays and Apple which I haven't, and the order shows as awaiting payment on the Apple site, does it usually take a while?
See this is still ongoing, tempted to go buy the middle spec 13" and leave using a desktop behind (don't currently own a laptop).
Anyone have any idea how much longer 0% finance is going to last for, and whether there are any expected major upgrades or future model(s) due any time soon that I...
Hey, know we've got some people on here who are good with this stuff...
My ExHDD is slowly dying, it's struggling to index the files on it, and taking files off it is extremely slow with stops and starts.
Was hoping there was some kind of software that could either take a snapshot/copy of...
In answer of what to do, I see three options:
- Wait it out for the year and fit the stuff next year with a new policy.
- Sell what you bought and continue with the current policy (I'm pretty sure you wouldn't wanna do this after getting it all sprayed etc).
- Leave now and go to a company that...
Oh right, I see my mistake; after seeing removing the induction kit and saying putting a 172 kit on, I thought you meant some sort of 172 induction kit.
I reckon you've got a battery problem, Samsung will replace them free of charge if you go to a service centre. I got a new battery last Friday because my S4 kept turning itself off at random times, now I'm getting 2 days on a charge easy, could probably get 3 if I did less internet browsing...
