Yeah, for 3k I'd want a mint Cup with no doubt over it's past, not worth it IMO, you'll struggle with resale - if you went to sell it the day after buying it I reckon you'd struggle for get 2k for it.
I'd probably have to go 265 though to keep Liquid Yellow in my life, and that puts the price up - maybe in a year or two; an LY RS Meg is probably the perfect 'real world' car for me.
This is a kind of, what option would you take question.
Insurance is due for renewal at the end of this month. I'm 21, 3 years NCB, LY182, less than 5k miles (around 3k actual), good postcode etc.
Best quote I've got so far is Elephant via Confused, offering £619.04, I've tried both Greenlight...
That looks proper tidy, but we'd need to know more about your Saxo to know whether it's a good deal - must be a pretty mental Saxo for you to get a 182 and 2k your way.
It's got all the good tasteful mods, engine bay is cleaner than 95% of all other 1*2's, just looks mint all round - I'd be all...
Thanks, looks better than I thought it would - wasn't sure if they'd really suit LY - they do, but perhaps not as well as they suit Titanium and Arctic.
Anyone got a picture of what Ultralaggera's look like on a LY182?
Purple Ultra's could look pretty cool - not bright though, something like Black Cherry or Midnight Purple.
TV's tend to be quite subjective, I'd head to Richer Sounds, John Lewis, Curry's and wherever else, see what ones you like, record them and them come home and see what ones are best priced online, although RS and JL both offer very good free warranty if you buy direct from them, so may be worth...
If it was a scam, the phone number would be on one of the pictures, that's usually the way.
Good colour this one too, normally the cheap ones are black.
I can't speak for the 2k specced iMac, I was referring more to the MacBook I just bought - if it sells in 3 years for 500-700 quid then I'll of only lost 400-600 quid, which I personally don't mind for three years of owning a great machine, it's not much more than I'd expect to lose if I bought...
Think I'm still leaning towards the NAS because it's a bit more simple, has really good power consumption/noise levels and the software provided by Synology is really well reviewed and seems simple.
The Microserver would no doubt be more flexible though.
My main reason is just laziness/ease - I wanna be able to pretty much never have to plug in a wire, just stream all files to MacBook, use a Raspberry Pi as a Media Center and use Airport Express for wirelessly streaming music, then I can just take the laptop anywhere in the house at any time.
A good thing and one of the reasons I talked myself into just getting my first MacBook is that they hold their value so well, so when once you come to upgrade a few years down the line, you current machine is still worth some money, so you can consider that as a discount on any future upgrade...
I changed my mind and went for the DS213j, because it has 512mb RAM (instead of 256mb) and 1200mhz CPU (instead of 800mhz) and only cost £40 extra, so it's a bit of future-proofing and also allows for a bit more multi-tasking. I also changed the two drives to WD Red's, as they come recommended...
I'll have to see when it arrives how it actually works, but Synology kit comes highly recommended so it would seem, so looking forward to seeing what it can do.
My Macbook only has 256gb SSD storage though, so don't want to be saving much if anything to it, hence looking at a NAS Drive. The one I've bought has remote access, so I'm hoping I'll be able to access all my stuff anywhere as long as I've got an internet conection.
I currently have a desktop PC, and I have a new Macbook arriving next week. I want to carry on using both in different scenarios.
I'm trying to get a good setup together whereby I can access anything on either machine, and beyond, getting to the point where I can access anything on any...
