Right, so I've been driving my LY for a couple of weeks now, and having never driven another 182 before (something I need to address), the ride feels very hard. I'm not sure if this is the norm or whether it's the result of needing new shocks, or better tyres? The better tyres are coming ASAP...
Can't you borrow a DA and foam lance and then buy them for yourself when you move to NZ? Personally would try and limit the amount I need to take with me to another country.
And about £100 is investment, in that the DA and the foam lance don't "run out" so to speak, most wouldn't consider them a detailing cost as they'll already have them - it just hurts your wallet in this scenario because you're buying everything at once.
Right, this is starting to wind me up. I've got the standard head unit in my 182, and it plays proper CD's fine, but it won't play any burned/blank discs. Searching found me a thread saying to use WMP and burn it as an audio CD - I've tried doing so but it's still not having it, I've tried a few...
Reading through this thread makes choosing tyres more difficult than easy. Should I go with 4 P-Zero Nero's at £380 all fitted from my local or go via Black Circles and get either 4 Conti SP2's at £420, or 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 3's for £460?
I want the best combo of grip and longevity - I was...
Lol @ the wheel spacing in the second picture of the front of the car; that definitely needs sorting, but it looks like it's coming along nicely, fair play.
This caught my eye when Dan put it up, but couldn't be dealing with changing the cloth interior, but if you're planning to get Recaro's anyway then I guess it doesn't matter. Paintwork looks proper mint.
Do we still get the i4detailing discount? Or has the code changed? Because I keep getting this message: The coupon code (ClioSport) was not recognised, please check and re-enter.
I have dual boot Win7/Lion on my hackintosh, yet haven't used Windows in yonks, so guess I'm a convert. My only Mac problem is software that clearly wasn't designed with Mac in mind - Android File Transfer with my S2 is shocking, as is Kies; then again, Kies is shocking on Windows too. Samsung...
So, today I took ownership of a FF Liquid Yellow 182, from a non-Cliosport member. It's my first 182, upgrading from my 1.2; I haven't stopped smiling all day. Didn't know whether to put it here in media or over in projects, but went with here because it won't be much of a project. It's in good...

If you find a good one not nearby or not from a place you particularly want to buy, you could try and get John Lewis to price match it, know that's not what you wanted but thought it might help - more ideal for returns/warranty etc.
Also, for really bad radio reception, is that for all stations? I'd say it's normal for reception to be pretty poor. Radio 1 always plays fine for me, but anything else is usually pretty bad, so if that's the same for you I'd say that's normal, from my experience anyway.
It's definitely the gearbox switch for the reverse lights, it's a problem I had when I first bought my 1.2. I got a garage to do it, and it ended up costing me well over £100, in hindsight i'd try doing it myself, people said it was fairly easy, but you'll lose a bit of gearbox fluid, you can...
