Unless the seller managed to source an engine on very similar to milage, if the car has a full or nearly full service history, would you not be able to try and spot anything that doesn't look right? I know it's not full-proof but will possibly give some indication...
Not sure if anyone's seen this or if it's a re-post? Couldn't decide whether to put it here or general chat, but figured gaming types are more likely to enjoy it. Someone posted it up on facebook, I reckon it's really well done/made.
The still doesn't give off the impression of what the video...
Tbh, that looks really decent, some may say it's a bit overpriced, but it always will be coming from a dealer. But it appears to have some modifications that the dealer doesn't seem to know the value of. With it rolling on Turini's and a non-standard exhaust (can't see what exactly) and I'd...
After seeing this, I too bought one - it arrived today, but cleanstore have signed the piece of paper that confirms what contents are in the box, but haven't actually put all the contents in the box, so I have no powerspeed nozzle and I don't have the adaptor that screws on so that I can connect...
Is that correct? I thought average milage was 10k, and even saw a newspaper the other day suggested it was more like 8.5k now, which I guess is a result of the rise in fuel prices etc.
Would personally get a mint 182 for about a grand less, and then spend the spare cash on something else (Upgrading the 182, track days, holiday, whatever). I can't speak from personal experience, but the early 197's don't seem to get the best reviews, I think the 197's got better as time went...
Also, they're probably being advised by someone to claim, someone who's said to them "it's easy and you always win, they never fight back", so if you can talk your insurance company round to actually sticking up for you then the other party may drop their claim if they see you fight back, they...
Don't you get a message on your mobile before it rings saying "Calls to this number are not free of charge from a mobile phone"? Or is this just something that I get from O2?
How much are they claiming for? Is there no way you can just pay them directly without going through insurance? Sounds like you're young, and I understand that a claim so early on is going to do you over for quite some time, probably more in the long run than it would be if you just paid them...
I may well just ask them, but if I explain the situation to them they'll probably pick holes in it resulting in me not getting a new key, I was asking on here first just to see if anyone had gone through the process and knew the way it was done.
I know this sounds really stupid and potentially illegal, and it may well be too late in your case - but couldn't you just deny the accident ever happening? If there's no damage to their car then what proof is there that there was any accident? If there were witness reports, won't they just side...
Got a photo of the damage? Also, I believe it is hard to come by parts for 197/200's - from what I see posted around, not many of them are being written off/broken yet, so few spare secondhand parts.
Has anyone ever claimed on their keycare cover? I have it currently, and have only had one key since I bought my current car. I was wondering if anyone knew more about the process - mainly what it would entail - would it be as simple as me being sent a new key from Renault, or me buying a key...
Also, I seem to remeber someone on here recently mentioning they got a retrospective fine a few years later because they didn't insure the new car they bought from the day they took ownership, will I be fine not insuring the new car straight away? It'll only be a few days after.
Really? I thought it would all be automated, and the second a car pops up on database that has tax but doesn't have insurance they would send you a letter? Given they can view whether a car is both taxed/insured.
Wasn't certain where to put this - it's selling/tax/insurance.
I currently own a 1.2 Clio, my current insurance policy with Adrian Flux runs out on the 30th March. I'm planning on changing car to a 182 in the very near future.
Now this is all getting a bit confusing what with cars either...
Will your current company let you change car? I'm in very much the same situation but Adrian Flux won't let me change car without starting a new policy, so I'm having to wait it out.
