I've had them on previous cars and TBH didn't notice much difference....TbH the EBC ones I had made the brakes worse.
Seems the grooves/slots just fill up with c**p which quickly corrode the disc.
Doesn't suck in warm air mate
one feed goes to the headlight where it gets a nice flow of cool air and the other goes further down below the light near the wheel arch....very far away from the engine and always cool.
Quite a good design...effective with decent panel (like the ITG)
Very reliable..if you find one that has been looked after.
Awsome performance but easy to get used to....you'll end up spending a lot of money going for more power.
I've used Avons before as I can get them at around £30 a corner (brother works for them).
I never had any problem with them but I don't think they have a great reputation for performance/predicatabilty in the wet.
Great but spend that kind of money on your Impreza/evo and type R man won't be close....seen supercharged Type Rs with over 300bhp.....but with less than 200ft/lb.
Back to the old standard/modified argument
Agree on the Impreza....most expensive part being the petrol, they really are thirsty.
Servicing/mechanically though they aren't that bad for a performance car/...plenty of part suppliers and specialists around now.
I miss my Impreza now and again ...still love driving the Clio though:)
Don't stress about the owners....I'm the fourth owner of my 172 and it's in bl**dy good condition with very low miles.
One of the owners of my car was the garage anyway so could be the same with yours.....just check it out fully and go for it if it's all good.
Looks good
I have the original K-tec stealth and a Janspeed sports cat on my 172 and I'm pretty happy with it.
It would be interesting to drive a car with a standard exhaust on now to see how different the car is in sound & performance.
Dump valve on my old Impreza....WTF was I thinking of:S
On the 172 it has to be the twin 3.5 inch Magnex exhaust....lasted about two weeks on the car before I took it off!
