Make sure the OE airbox is in place, a sports cat is fitted and the acoustic valve is still in situ:D

I think the sound of a nice aftermarket exhaust should keep you entertained until you get the cash to get the sports cat fitted:D

Like I said earlier....it's not my car so I'm too bothered. I personally wouldn't do it on my own 172

Well I'l keep the 4X4 looks....I'd rather that than have it sitting on the deck and scraping everything. If my car was 30mm lower the splitter would scrape my driveway getting the car out of the garage which since I paid 100 notes for the splitter would really p** me off.

RX8 definately not as potent as the old RX7 but still quick Don't think you'll be left behind though

Not a bad looking setup although I feel the gains over the std box with panel will be very marginal.

That is the best solution and I imagine it'll be cheaper than the IK too:D

Well, maybe I'm speaking out of personal preference as I'd like my car to look as close to std as possible and am mostly concerned about the handling. A 30mm drop on my car would see some serious splitter/driveway problems anyway.

Stick with the original 16 size

Agree on the metal gauze problem...even 4-5 years ago when I had my old Renault 19 16v it was a well known issue and I ended up taking mine off for this very reason. There is a lot of 'flannel' going round and marketing BS regarding induction kits...it seems so, so easy for companies to make...

I'd be asking them more about this 'sensor' and what it is actually for.....it doesn't sound like they are being that clear with you.

Never putone on my car but from what I have read on here the general consensus seems to be not to bother with them.
