Everyone is in it to make money and every company/manufacurer is going to try and get a sale one way or another and improve the rep of their company which means saying there product is the best.
I imagine throttle bodies cams and a good ecu mapped by someone who knows what they are doing should do the trick.
Ben R or Fred (Yozzasport) are probably the best people to speak to regarding breaking the 200bhp barrier
On one of my early cars (renault 5) the exhaust came off at the manifold.....what a noise...f**king loud.
I would advise putting it in the boot though incase you get pulled so you can make some BS up about being on your way to get it fixed:D
I think you have a good case....if it was knowingly sold as a UK car and was an import then that's not good at all.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with imports but you want to know exactly what you are buying don't you.
