The OE brakes on my 172 are way better than on my old WRX....they were appaling for the power of the car.
Like most people are saying..just go for normal, undrilled/ungrooved Brembos with some decent pads, the Clio is a light car so for normal road use doesn't need anything that extreme.
Decat is illegal lol
Just went for the sports cat as it's only a matter of time before the authorities start clamping down on this further....we like in the UK remember :D
F**k 'em..they can bill me.
Don't understand golf courses are still allowed to sprinke their precious greens and millionaires are allowed to fill up their swimming pools but average joe can't go and water their vegetable patch/garden.
They should spend more money fixing the f**king leaks
I would have thought most people had done this kind of work as it's so easy.
Gearbox probably wouldn't be hard to do either if you have time and the right facilities.
Agree..evo makes Top Gear Magazine seem tacky.
Trophy was only beaten my Ferrari and new Ford GT40 in evos supercar test which is pretty amazing considering how much the Renault costs in comparison to the others:D
I didn't think it was the cat that was better on the 182....thought it was the 4-2-1 manifold design?
I installed a sports cat on my 172 and it's definately worth it along with the exhaust...makes the car feel more drivable.
You'll find the acoustic valve at the end of the long intake tract from the airbox...follow the duct down behind the headlight and you'll find a plastic, tube shaped thing which is this valve.
I believe this valve is operated via engine speed to alter the length of the intake therefore...
I think on a road car it'll be more for looks.....the suspension turrets just look far too close to the engine bulkhead for it to make much difference.
