I usually try and go easy the last mile or so to my destination to let everything cool down brakes and fluids.
Got in the habit of doing this since owning a turbocharged car where the idling/warm down period is crucial to it's health!

I put a sports cat on my 172 and was very pleased with the results.....just makes it rev a little better and makes the car a more driveable:D

I went from a 280bhp car to the 172 so it was a 'step down' in speed but it's still plenty of fun and after returning over 40mpg it's practical too.
Standard Clio exhausts are notorious for being c**p and not lasting long.
Best bet would be to source and aftermarket system....plenty of used ones pop up on here for good prices.

Yeah, you certainly get used to the speed but the steering/handling of the 172/182 does make it really good fun to drive:D
My girlfriends clio 1.2 got broken into in a public carpark between 6-8.30 last night and the stereo was pinched.
They pushed the lock barrel through the door and used a screwdriver to pop the lock (causing lots of damage).
Dumb motherf**kers left my BMX in the back though which is worth...

Loud isn't necessarily good for some people who do a lot of long distance motorway driving.
My old Peco did sound nice but, like I said, quality wasn't great.
Same on most car forums mate but particularly bad on here lol
To add my bit I wouldn't buy a BMW unless it had an M badge on the boot.....the rest are just rep-mobiles for suits.
