Insurance gave me £1300 for my 1.2 on 20k.
Roll cage will fit between cars, btu you'll ahve a job getting insured, and fitting is getting on for the cost of the cage, esp if you have interior, ie carpet etc
Run out as in are the discs warped, the pads shoudl be lightly touching the disc at all times, chekc the o/s (drivers) disc, and see if the pads only come in contact wiht the disc for part of the rotation.
Check the cv joints by seeing if there is any vertical/horizontal movement, perpendicular...
Check the run out of the brake discs.
If its large, well more then almost nohting check teh disc is seated flat ont he hub, or swap the discs.
other thign it could be is cv joints on the driveshaft
Custom mounts, LMFAO.....
Will need the engine, box, not sure about the subframe, loom, front suspension set up, valver (or better) front brakes, don't worry about rears, useful to get oil dials, fuel pump, ECU, think you'll be ok wiht driveshafts, think you might need valver hubs though...
I've got it down to about hour-hour and a half depending on how rusty everything is.
When i first did it on my tod iirc it took me about 3-4 hours, but only cus i was going very slowley and making sure i didn't everything right
Well i've just put the same tyres on and i'm getting awesome grip, esp in the dry, pushing as hard and slightly harder then iw as before round well known bends and no loss in grip atall, whewre the old tyres would have given up, haven't pushed them in the wet yet, but i'm hopeful, never had that...
Just out of interest why ahve you lowered it that much, if its stripped that suggests that you want to go fast, so raise the back end up to just hihger than the front, and it will corner ALOT better
Yeah, you SHOULD NOT be paying for them, you have a 12 month guarentee on ANY product, about manufacturing defects, they shoudl replace them for free!!!
Unless they are over 12 months old ofc
Fuckin' hell!!!
I got a bearing pressed inot my hub the other day and was charged a fiver, last time i had bearings pressed inot ym rear discs they cost me £3 each.
You can get a bearing from GSF, wiht cliiosport discount for £14.50 + vat.
Ripped off fella.
Anyways, hope this one is ok
They shoudln't crack, CHUCK IT IN THE BIN NOW, if its cracked accross where the bolts go.
You need the plastic bits, spiggots, as they centre the wheel on the hub and stops nasty vibrations
Can get 17's on a 1.2 wiht a few mods, but it looks s**t and makes the car f**king slow, be sensible and stick wiht 15's....unless you are operating a rolling disco, complete wiht neon lights
95% of scorpion systems brag the middle box really low, and so it hits the road on bumps if you have a low car.
I had a straight through centre section madeup at powerflow for £145, or you could get the centre section off a 1.2 clio, this is a straight through one, but i'm not sure how the...
Do the lights brighten when you rev it?
Check teh gearbox earth strap, this solved it once for me, and then the other time i gave the ISCV a good clean, saying that miones started f**king doing it again, time to whip the ISCV off again and give it all another clean
They shoudl ahve done somethign to the 182 to make it stand out more, the wider arches are hard to see unless you know about them where as the ones ont eh 16v/willy stood out a mile, and the bonnet vent.
I'm also a strong believer that they should ahve given teh trophy more power
Can't compare to the race version, but i've done anglesey, bruntinthorpe, donnington and never had any brake fade, i was out for 30 mins at a time at bruntingthorpe,a nd at anglesey and donningotn was hardley in the paddock atall, and as i siad, never had any brake fade, tyres went off before...
