not even close. I'll dig out the figures
the total duration is longer on the C&B's, but the ramp rate is very gentle so the lift at TDC is far milder
for high comp with uprated springs you should be looking at 422's anyway
depends what you want to weld really. I taught myself enough to do a few patches, but got taught properly a couple of years later when I was building Crash simulation structures for cars and aircraft. It's mostly surface prep, and experience of knowing when you're about to blow a big hole on the...
you, trying to separate the top cup and the nut by using a massive pair of grips, despite being told that they're one piece, and looking like an idiot while you were doing it.
You don't know as much as you like to tell everyone.
ignorant people
oil, belts, time. None of these are free no matter what. Even doing it yourself is giving up your own time.
But you would know best.

I cannot believe anyone is saying break the car......for THAT. Seriously, you'd think they were made of rare porcelain. It's metal and paint. Piss easy fix.
they're wrong rear has adjustment. I asked for it to be added. Upto you if you buy from somewhere with duff info that has no knowledge of the product and can't give support/assistance ;)
GAZ are just tripe in general. They're not even nice before they break.
Billys and H&Rs (SAME!!!) don't seem to leak much, but they develop a lot of play in the fronts which make them knock (I havn't seen a set in 4 years that hasn't started to do it)
People are odd tbh. The set on my car was...
such is life tbh, it will happen to a % of anything. Standard dampers are s**t for blowing, I've found leaks on a 8k old 197 before
I've seen the returns shelf at Spax, it's very small, and most of their issues seem to be from people using mole grips on the shaft to tighten the top nut
As you're south wales, go to Prospeed and See Charlie. The ONLY custom exhaust builder I can recommend. Otherwise there are plenty of off the shelf systems.
I recommend Piper for best of the best quality, and Janspeed for very good on a slightly smaller budget
I have. Think I've driven every available setup. KW V1's were shocking (no pun intended) on a stripped out car, Billys were similarly just wrong. Gaz are the worst things I've ever experienced, Vmaxx are genuinely a better option if you are budget limited. KW V2's are better, well made, but just...
did you know that Spax invented the adjustable damper?
They're very different to other's in the same price point due to the way their adjustment is on bound and rebound. (if the adjuster is at the top, you have rebound only) and they're Fully stainless steel
then it will be a bit easier. Cutting holes in the floor to drop the main hoop feet through so you can weld all round the joins onto it that are hidden by the roof rails might be the best way to go about it. Same for the front feet actually
Found a part that it might be, but the exploded diagram looks a bit different.
There is also a front impact fitting kit available which looks like all the trim clips etc required for a crash repair, but there's no list I can see that shows what's in it
