The cup box and ph1 box are interchangeable afaik.

I've never seen the ph2 172 quoted at 6.7, iirc that's the 182. In reality there's nothing in it. If my box ever goes I'll try and get a cup box though.

I don't often agree with Dan, but he's 100% right, the mini is quicker. The engine's a peach. Shame the chassis and steering are better on the SC mini.

Seats are horrid, wheels are nice imo. Saw a green one a few weeks back, loads of road presence without being ott. I like them.

A 172 that's stood still for 5yrs, zero miles would need the belts doing. They naturally perish, it's not just use that causes them to go.

If it's that kind of use, no harm in stripping it then. Just don't go getting harnesses without a cage lol.

Tbh I don't really see the point in a road car. Let's be honest, there's very few people on here that are capable of getting the best from a car, so what genuine benefit will stripping it completely have? If it's going all out, cage, slicks, track suspension etc then do it. If not, it's more...

Would you ever use it for long journeys? Any long journey gets very tiresome very quickly in a stripped car.

Seen a few (maybe 5 in total). The looks won't help it sell tbh, too marmite regardless of how capable the car is.
