Sadly just for a few days, Riz has gone abroad and left me in charge. Ridiculous car, I went to fill up, and people just start talking to you about the car.
Pretty sure the Bilstein's are a bit harsh for road use. Trophy's a road car, not a track car, suspension set up is awesome, carries serious speed but doesn't get upset by a poor road surface.
6speed box versus 5speed in the VTS. Makes a big difference. The lift off oversteer is fantastic, in the 182's they snap, but the 306's just gently drift. Honestly, it was more fun than the Trophy. Can't carry the same speed (not much can!) but huge fun.
Yeah bud, it'll still be used on road a couple of times a week, but most of my commuting is by train now. Decided def getting coilovers, brakes (brembo/ds2500's), seats (cobra daytona's), exhaust (yozza), and 2 sets of wheels (on with toyo r888's). Undecided if getting a respray (90%sure I...
Drive one Ali. My rallye stayed with Riz's 182 easily, and was more 'fun' than the Trophy. Not as capable, but not much beats drifting off an island at speed. Steering is fantastic, engine sounds great, just so much fun.
Not sure which to go for. Everyone raves about the H&R's, but I'm after something that gives a similar feel to the Trophy (great wheel control, very sharp turn in), can the H&R's be set up in that way?
As standard (ie 225 TT) the Vee is slightly quicker, I'd imagine the TT sport is slightly quicker. Not driven a sport, TT's are nice cars, just not my thing (standard). A stripped, caged TT on coilovers would be great IMO.
Thats not a 3.2. The TT sport, had an uprated 1.8turbo with 240bhp, they never made the TT sport with the V6. Faster than the V6 TT, as it's a fair wack lighter. People who tend to suggest cars like this versus a Vee, have usually never driven a Vee. It's a very special car, it's unique and the...
In the current climate, sticking a wad of cash into something expensive that's only going to lose cash is silly. I'm selling my cars to get a cheap 172.
