no offence jon:D
since when? they've been selling for a tenner for about a year or so now.
The price for the wheels was based on them being kerbed, needing a refurb with just legal tyres.
Re: My mk1 track car blog
nice mate, amazingly the dizzy was very easy to fit, just got a quick adapter plate made up by an engineering firm as i didnt have 10mm ally! cost me £15! happy days, then roughly set up timing so that it'll fire up and run then get a light on it and set it up...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
Glad to see your progressing on yours.
Im waiting for my chipped willy ecu to get back to me, then mine should be running on a dizzy!
but before that ive gotto go back, get the engine out, change the clutch. fly etc. main reason for taking the engine out is so that...
right just did a little research as its late and tbh i really cant be arsed to do much...
the 1.4 and derv clutches on a 19 are the same, so iirc the clutch from a 1.816 will fit a 1.4, but like i said, its late and i cant really remember much of what i did tonight, letalone what fits what.
all the splines on the input shafts are the same, but its the diameter of the clutch and the diaphragm (sp) plate that make the fitment undure to fit. The 172 clutches are different to the valver ones, im undure how the clutch looks/size is on the derv having never fitted one!
If the speedo is still reading its thrown the diff circlip.
take out the passenger driveshaft and if your lucky the clip will still be in the boot of the d/s. if not then its box apart to pick out the pieces.
get some new ones from renault and slap them in and happy days until it goes again.
