Yeah paul (paulyA610) is a good mate, nearly had a liquid yellow off him a while back but didn't, kicked myself a bit. When it was spoken of that the trophy might be available i jumped on it this time. This makes my 4th RS now. Good to be back in a little daily terrier.
Yeah that's the one lol, yeah it was indeed me, there many local members these days? Picked it up off a mate a week ago but not been out in it too much
Indeed i do. cheers bud.
lol the only non stock gauge is the boost one as the stock boost gauge doesn't have an actual pressure on it. Not much done to it really, tiny boost increase for now, lowered on koni shocks, think it put out 120bhp at the hubs at 10psi. Should have a little more now...
i wasnt actually going to buy it as i have a renault 8 project on the go but i had one a fair few years ago, went to see sparkie took it for a drive and ended up taking it home. its only been out 5-6 times since ive had it but its great fun. after all the gtt's and 11 turbos ive had plus all the...
Hi can any one tell me what coilover this is based on part number 900 1004? I've asked kw but waiting on email back. I know there for a Clio but I'm not sure if they are the inox or not? Cheers
Thats purely your own doing there, the part wasn't defective in anyway, you were. An inability to use a torque wrench or basic socket set by the looks of it.
I Duno I'm begining to hate it, if you pootle about it's just tappy but rev it right up and let off and it's defo a rattle clatter sound butit sounds top end rather than bottom end, ffs inthink I might just try dropping another engine in rather than drive it till it dies
Have got myself a daily Clio dynamique with the 1.2 16v engine, it needed a bit of work including head gasket cam belt and water pump before I could use it. It's all up and running now but sounds a little tappy? Is this normal for the engine, gets louder when warm and high revving tho once hot...
I see where your going bud yeah tho to make that boost at them revs I think you'd be overspeeding the sc by loads, tho there are many different types of blower, others might be suitable. Also pressure is restriction to flow so 10psi on that pulsar engine might actually be the same flow as 4psi...
Does make me laugh that most people who throw money at there cars and don't actually do the work think the tuning companies are the be all and end all, I'd put money on there being more faulty/failed/blown up tuner built cars than diy
in the nicest way possible and without trying to start anything to major but the diy boys always push the boundaries and find the limits and thats why there are faliures, but if you look and see the diy boys are always putting out more than the "companies" stevieh is the perfect example with the...
thats what im saying it doesnt create a restriction at low rpm, its only at high rpm that it becomes one so no need to have a variable one that only cuts in at high revs.
variable vanes in the turbo work by adjusting the exhaust side not the inlet, it directs the exhaust gasses over the wheel differently. the way i do it is spool the sc fast and then limit the air it can draw in.
yeah to a point tho remember its direct revs vs flow. you can fit a small pully and have loads of boost low down, what happens when you get to 7200rpm? your probably spinning the sc faster than it was designed. you need to pick your boost level you want the pick a pully to deliver that at your...
