the name of the engine is DIET the early one were energy engines then they brought out the D7F diet engine from P reg onwards could also be coil pack gone.
He only lives down the road from me i think not that far really few streets away never seen the car after you got rid sorry about your turbo though mate. Got a ebay link?
yea they sound like there working 47% i think they may have to be at least 50% im not sure on this though lol they dont work that well anyway, at our dealership when you enter the given results on to the MOT computer (this is what tells you if the brakes are ok from the readings given to it) it...
doubt it plus they tend to go a bit mad when you start swapping throttle bodys about as each one is programmed i think, also something diffent about them possibly as one could be plastic and one could be metal so to speak you need a cd to reprogram these
I have seen a failed cat before due to an injector fault causing this kind of problem now you say it it was on a 1.4 8v but its same engine (more or less) and same cat set up.
you are right mate as long as it dont move a stupid amount the bolts to sercure it to the floor are internal and when over tighten can snap the welded bolt off causing alot of problems
172 cup in bluee HT5* EDF something like that anyway can remember had some cliosport and 172 cup stickers on back window, may be chris car. this afternoon
if i remember you have 2 coil packs if you took each lead off in turn you should have misfire on that cylinder unless theres no spark but if it was right for all 4 it wouldnt run perhaps you have got a inlet manifold gasket gone causing high idle? and idle speed veries? or faulty injector
depends on if the chassis straight, if they write it off they write it off you wont have to worry about value, unless your buying it back, i would have said right off.
